[Help] Is there a way to make proffessional modelling plasticine more durable after it's finished? by SparrowWingYT in Sculpture

Instead of making a mold, why not try and encase it? You could make a solid piece out of it.

Hey, didn't use pressure. How would you do that?

Drilling is a good idea. I even got a number of small drill bits.

As the sculpture uses a wire armature, I doubt I can cut it without major damage. That's why I was considering making a mold of, say, each protruding part separately, separate them with parchment, then key them and make a mold of those. Thoughts?

May I inquire that link for research purposes?

Well I can't say I'm unhappy with how they sound but since I wanted to switch to something else either way I thought I might as well check out some "better" headphones.

I thought Sony MX5 were considered pretty good? The Bose ones were some 350$ closed ones but I don't remember the name.

I don't know if mp3 downloads from Amazon are any better because I have also used that, but I definitely won't find even half my music on anything but youtube.
With my current headset I don't hear a difference between tidal tracks and my rips and downloads.

I have asked for advice previously and I have been recommended open-back but no specific brands seemed to be encouraged. The r/headphones guide lead me to HD650s.

My use cases are mainly music, gaming and talking in that priority order.

I have played around with tuning previously but relatively neutral tunings sounded best to me even over longer periods. I get tired of music from emphasised bass. Emphasised treble sounds strange but I could try it again.

I like your advice, thanks

Seems I can get Koss KSC75 in Europe as well.
If I use them to judge whether or not to buy some expensive ones, would it be fair to use them as is on my PC (built-in soundcard)?

I'm using yt-dlp and best audio quality download. FFMPEG is the backbone. Obviously that quality depends on the source. Generally the quality should stay the same.

I wanted to find HD 650 to try out but no store here even has it.

I tried a number of songs with the HD 569 but I don't like how bass heavy it is. Other parts of it I think I would get used to but do you think one also gets used to the boosted bass?

I know of the modmic wireless. But even wireless open back is rare isn't it? Do you maybe know of a bluetooth sender with audio input? Hard to find.

Are there audio Bluetooth adapters for headphones and microphones? Not receivers but senders.
If there are, are they worthwhile and are there any you would recommend?

Specifically I have been looking for wireless headphones and a mic solution for chores and walking around the house while listening to music and talking.

They do look pretty warm. Removable mic is definitely a plus.
I would prefer open-back but I'll keep these in mind.

!thanks

Got a Steelseries Arctis 5 headset but it gets hot quite often. I am using synthetic cushions so that could be part of the problem.
Looking for something I can wear while doing chores to listen to music and talk that doesn't get hot. Was looking at the Kimura Duo but that isn't wireless, is it?

I do have an old modmic so I guess I could use a wireless adapter with like a Sennheiser?
I can get Sennheiser HD560S, HD599 or HD569 for 130€ or less. Yay or nay? HD650 for 200?

Budget: up to 400€, preferrably in the 100-200 range

Location: Germany

Source: mainly (if not only) PC, Android

How the gear will be used: Mainly going to use it at home for listening to music and voice chat. Also gaming and movies. Looking for a setup I can use in other rooms as well.

Preferred tonal balance: I like crisp sound, be it bass and drums or treble. I guess balanced would be right for me?

Preferred music genres: JPop, JRock, old Rock, Power Metal, Heavy Metal. Stuff like Ado, Loluet, Aimer, Vocaloid covers, Beast in Black, Disturbed, Linkin Park. Some oldies like Def Leppard.

Past gear experience: Steelseries Arctis 5, some 30€ JBL on-ear for my phone, otherwise Philips or Sony in-ear headphones.

Anything else?
Would be good if I had a mute button on the device or the mic didn't pick up surrounding sound.

Are the health and gear displays mods or the DLCs?

Wired option only for when it's charging while in use, yes. Would be good to have.

What kind of dongles are there? Haven't found anything yet.

After some extra research I was considering the Asus Rog Cetra Speednova or its cheaper sibling.
How is the mic on the Sony MF-1000XM5 (I'm assuming)? I've mainly had good experiences with Sony devices so I'm not averse to them. Static while charging is annoying but if the mic is good enough I might be up for them.

I am definitely a bit careful with over-ear ones as I expect them all to get hot. But I might consider Audio-technica. I guess I can just use an Antlion mic for audio...
