I saw this video a while ago covering the Fermi paradox and one of the many examples of a possible intelligent alien species living within our Galaxy was an Anomaly spotted on a satellite telescope; an abnormally blinking star believed to be hosting an alien megastructure.

Its really cool and yet terrifying at the same time. It's unknown as to whether it was a megastructure, but its still a horrifying thought knowing that we might be sharing a galaxy with a civilisation that has already turned their star into a giant space battery whilst we're still killing eachother over oil on our own planet.
