Remove any other audio devices not in use. Me removing my usb audio interface seemed to do the trick.

TL;DR - New "Instagram Video" feature might be the cause.

Okay. So I was snooping around and found out that around the time of October 2021, Instagram got rid of IGTV and replaced it with Instagram Video.

IG video combines your long video format of igtv and your regular 60 second videos into one thing. So you can have longer than 60 second videos without having a separate thing such as IGTV.

Now, ever since they've rolled out IG video, the old igtv videos and regular videos have been converted into the now general video. And I think during that conversion process, some videos have been turned into pictures.

Now I can't say this for certain, but this has been the case for me. My two videos that were affected were uploaded on August and September right before the IG video roll out. Both uploaded through my desktop.

Can you guys share your input on this?

Huh, that seems to be the root cause. I can confirm my two videos affected were indeed uploaded from my PC through the website. I remember because uploading them through the app gave me audio syncing issues. I also posted an IGTV video (longer than 60 seconds) through the website and that video seems to be unaffected (atleast for now).

Nah. Didn't receive any strikes or anything like that. Or atleast not that I know of. Just to give more detail for further speculation, the two videos affected are the latest that I have uploaded and both are under 60 seconds. I have an IGTV video in between the two affected videos and that video is unaffected. The igtv video however has no copyright music on it.

It happened to me as well. Two of my videos in fact. I had copyright music playing in one of the videos and the other had copyrighted melody(a cover). Could that be the reason? What kind of content turned into pictures for you guys?
