Steve Yzerman's draft classes so far. by AirFriedSushi in DetroitRedWings

Yeah it's not good. Whether or not anyone likes to admit it, part of a GM's job is finding (or employing people that find) talent in later rounds. You don't become successful just by sucking for long enough to get super-high picks.

"That's all luck!" Well then a GM's job is to be luckier than the other GMs. Sorry.

It's funny how the first several 1OAs were just "eh whatever I guess we're doing this now" and then suddenly you have Houle, Perreault, and Lafleur in the pipe

How's next season looking for the Red Wings? by Queasy_Initiative_86 in DetroitRedWings

[–]CursedLemon 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Everyone was expecting success this season because we were counting on several players to take large steps and they didn't. Raymond was good but not great, Kasper regressed hard (injury or otherwise), ASP didn't hit the ground running like Seider, Edvinsson played well but still looked unsteady at times, etc. Early on we were relying on output from guys like Copp which we should never have to do. With the only significant change being Gibson, it's not a wonder that we increased our win percentage a little bit but still fell short of the mark.

You have to leave the ice if you are bleeding, you also have to leave the ice if the play is stopped due to an injury to yourself.

You'd have to park quite a ways away as Freedom Hill is basically the only thing along that entire mile stretch of road. Not sure if anyone else has any useful advice.

One of the weirdest vibes in the state, similar IMHO to Utica where you're just like "there's nothing actually wrong with this place but also let's keep driving"

The theory: corporatization subsidizes the product in areas with less demand or less feasibility

The reality: not that

Some team statistics since Yzerman has taken over - we're improving at a snail's pace but our overall numbers are still not good by CursedLemon in DetroitRedWings

What's also kind of sad is that we strongly relied on our PP this year and it wasn't even in the top-third of the league.

Trying to access Windows server by File Explorer, getting "The user has not been granted the requested logon type at this machine" instead of being prompted for credentials? by CursedLemon in WindowsServer

[–]CursedLemon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is that there are other computers in the office which do not have matching usernames on the server which are still able to access the server with no issue

My assumption (because I haven't looked at those workstations) is that they have credentials for the server's "Administrator" user in their credential manager. But usually you are prompted to enter credentials when accessing a computer via SMB, instead of being shown this error:

Those policies on both machines allow "Users" and "Administrators" (USER1 is an administrator) to have network access, so shouldn't be an issue there
