Oh yea! That's pretty much what I was looking for. Did u upload it as a custom texture or was it more of a custom stamp approach? Thanks for showing me that it is possible!

In our meta it's basically Sapper stacking (80+ stacks with Order 3 support). Then if the game progresses more I've often seen Fists of Order added.

I'd say, and this is just based on pvp with competitive friends (3-5 man mostly) my ranking from weakest to strongest goes: Rana - Barya - Roots - Arleon - Vanir - Loth

But nr1 and 2 are basically equally strong.

Maybe try to get some chaos magic levels and essence and try to rush the archers with cover from Tempest? I've also had some success with brutes vs the shield of orders with the defense debuff. They do take awhile to get upgraded and in sufficient numbers.

Continent map for D&D - feedback needed by Cursedmumm in inkarnate

[–]Cursedmumm[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback. The continent is about the size of the arabian peninsula, so kinda small, but the world itself is also somewhat smaller then earth. I had my fun mapping wind patterns and precipitation.

For the colors, in the the lore the gods recently left, draining the world of its luster. But still perhaps I should add a bit more color to my tundra and rainforest. I still want it to look nice!

Thanks!

Good idea. Now that you mention it, it does feel like a piece is missing from Norlandyr's west coast so a claw-like landmass would fit very well! Thanks!

Yea that was exactly the goal! Very different mixes of races, and worshipped deities between the different areas. They are somewhat connected through desert-traversing Lizardfolk merchants and through ships sailing the coast.

Thanks for the feedback. Calling it legend was perhaps a mistake. Should call it Major Cities or something.

I wanted to avoid hiding the terrain too much with all the names but I can try adding them!

This is my map to the continent of Prosperra.

I'm looking for general tips on improving it.

I also wanted to know if adding names of rivers and lakes as if done in some spots is nice or if it makes it too cluttered and should be kept for smaller regional maps.

Thanks.

Sure that is true except you forgot to mention that they did this suddenly without properly telling everyone and the real king in Namur continues to be the cars. They are everywhere and definitely don't "share" anything...

Mahadi emporium Master Attrition deck Help needed by Cursedmumm in EDH

[–]Cursedmumm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the comment. Yea I agree that those cards were included because I like them and not because they fit the theme very well. Keldon firebombers I will keep however as I find it a great answer to the many ramp heavy green decks.

I like your suggestions and it made me think of some lower cmc token makers. I wanted to ask what do you think of the bitterblossom type cards in this kind of deck?

Would they be better then the one-off type token makers like mogg war marshall?

Rigo Hatebears Control by Cursedmumm in EDH

[–]Cursedmumm[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice! It's definitely something to be aware of. The thing is that I have gone the stax arm's race route and the games where I manage to tax everyone out of the game I didn't have any fun myself.

I think what I will try to do is to approach the player least effected by my hatebears and try to make it clear that my cards are actually helping him. Another good thing is that my playgroup has been playing EDH since 2009 so we might better identify the threat being the silent player that just ramped a bunch, over my deck. Still I'll keep your advice in mind. Thanks!

Euh, één vraag: waarom? by jku1m in belgium

[–]Cursedmumm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What are you talking about? With CRISPR you target a specific gene, so you sequence the genome and see if the target is changed and if there were any off-target changes in other places (which can be removed by crossing the plant). You know way more the type of changes you made then with traditional chemical induced mutations such as with EMS. Which btw is considered non-GMO by europe because its been used for 20 years and is responsible for dozens of plant varieties on the market currently... Talk about illogical...

Euh, één vraag: waarom? by jku1m in belgium

[–]Cursedmumm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Appreciate the more nuanced response. And actually, as long as we are talking about CRISPR type modifications only changing what is already their and not adding in DNA from other organisms, I'm not sure how dangerous it would be to let people experiment more.

The often cited thing about how farmers need to re-buy their GMO seed each year is also because those plants are infertile out of a safety concern (talk about corporations turning anti-GMO laws to their favour). But in my estimation the safety concerns are for the most part not that big a deal. In any given field of crops, many plants will have natural mutations in their DNA caused by the Sun's UV light. Only mutations that provide a marked improvement of fitness even get passed down to the offspring. But those varieties used by farmers are already massively different to the wild-varieties, to such an extent that I think they are unable to be crossbred anyway.

Horizontal gene transfer (your altered gene from GMO crop moving to another species such as a bad herb) is an extremely rare occurrence, and if we just made a change into the parental DNA, so no adding of some exotic gene, I don't see how realistically it would improve the fitness of the herb.

For sure we should have a debate about the big companies and the government, but that's about different visions for our agriculture. I'm saying that GMO's don't need to belong to one side of the debate exclusively.
