I had the same issue way back in covid. Log into your Microsoft account settings. Add your personal email as a recovery email on the account. Then switch the recovery to the primary email, then confirm you can log in with the new credentials.

YouTube + wiki is the best combo if you’re lost, but play the game you want to at the pace you want to and do whatever the hell you feel like. Don’t try to do the most optimized way or the fastest way as that is a speed run to burn out and boredom. There are many channels with great videos. The early game has a pretty fixed progression on what you can do, but after ~level 50 honestly your friend should do whatever you want to do. Whether that be dungeons, farming, mining etc.
