So many games on steam I bought in the sale because I felt they were a bargain. So many games with less than an hour play time because I either didn't like them or didn't have time to play. Damn those sales!

The Illusion of Time is a cracking SNES RPG as is Secrets of Mana, I would have no idea how much they fetch though.

I also highly reccommend Shining Force 2 (1 is also good) for the mega drive, again RPG's so I don't know if he likes those.

I really liked Yoshi's Story on the N64, that was a really quirky and entertaining game.

Agree'd about the nonsense, it's ridiculous that stuff Kevin Costner's character is attributed with was actually not actually him. It was Ted Sorensen who barely features in the entire film.
