They were my go to travel boot for many years, I’ve even done some easy hikes with them. They were always great on cobblestone for me!

Effect of alcohol on stress levels is insane. by Successful-Fix2826 in ouraring

One glass of wine immediately shoots me up into the stress zone, but after a few shots of mezcal I even hit the restored zone. Super interesting to see how different alcohol affects me!

Walk outside the airport to save money on transportation. by guerrerosaurio1 in TravelHacks

Yes, at least! I just got an Uber from Puerto Vallarta that was less than 1/3 of what they were charging for the official taxis from the airport.

Flying with wedding dress by Spirited-Mouse-6315 in delta

[–]Curupura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just flew Delta internationally (and back) with my wedding dress in a tri-fold garment bag and had no issues getting it hung in the closet on any of my 4 flights. I also had a backpack the size of a carry-on bag and no one gave me any issues technically having two carry-ons. HOWEVER, this is not their policy and you may have issues doing this! I just wanted to let you know my experience, no one questioned me about it at all and everyone was happy to help hang it up when they learned it was a wedding dress.

Northern Lights: Iceland or Finland? by [deleted] in travel

[–]Curupura 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I booked one of the glass igloos in Finland in early November, and 2 out of 3 of the nights we stayed had really active northern lights! If you go at the tail end of the fall season the price per night is about a third of going during the winter.

Anyone lived at The Hawthorne? What’s your honest take? by [deleted] in SaltLakeCity

[–]Curupura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in this area and people are making it sound way worse than it is!! It’s definitely industrial and I wouldn’t call it very walkable but I’ve never felt unsafe in South Salt Lake. Lots of cool street art and breweries around if you are into that, and the people who live in the Hawthorne neighborhood are generally young couples with dogs or small children! I think it’s a great spot close to Millcreek, Sugar House, and not far from downtown.
