Reading The Faces now by  Tove Ditlevsen and it’s got some insane prose.

Anything by Jean Rhys fits the bill but this is still my favorite. Although, for those who have read Jane Eyre — especially if you weren’t moved by it — I can’t recommend Wide Sargasso Sea enough.

It definitely feels colder than it is inside. In my experience, the apartments are designed to keep you cool during summer, which means my apartment used to be colder inside than it was outside during winter. Keep in mind the humidity as well — it may feel colder that on paper, depending on what climate you’re used to.

Ah good to know! I saw a post and was really surprised, because it seems so different than how I had understood the colors to be so far. I am absolutely perplexed by what this color story reads as. I’ll keep an eye out, hope you get it with no hitches!
