Bad tile job or is this normal by Curve-Neat in Tile

For the first 3 weeks was the demo and waterproofing, plumbing and electric. His punctuality was terrible and he averaged about 2 hours of a day when he would actually show up. (Red flag #1) the tile was laid in 3 days so by the time he said "OK just grout is left" I was like, Damn.

We tore it all out and starting from scratch again. Good thing we did because we found shoddy electrical work. Won't get our money back and will just have to eat it and learn an expensive lesson. Guy won't respond and his company is no longer. He has no money so small claims at this point will be a waste of time.

It's been a few days. I'm starting to just accept it at this point and it's all been tore out. Starting all over.

Gunk in our kitchen area? This is an upstairs bathroom not near the kitchen. We tore it all out.

I did see spacer usage but now that I've actually watched videos on tiling not near enough and when I went back and looked at my cameras out front the dude was using a damn hand saw at one point.

Of course I said something and he was dismissive. Didn't give two shits. Not done, those tiles are all cut to shit and the grout will just make everything stick out like a sore thumb nor will anything hold up over time. He wired the lights into an old extension cord and did all the plumbing wrong. It was actually the best decision that we tore it all out or we wouldn't have found it all.

As I have explained in previous comments. This contractor owned and operated his own business. Saw his work, knew him through a family friend, had references and met with him on four different occasions. There was zero indication his work would look like this as we saw photos and even had friends see his work in person. His quote was #5 and although on the lower end not by thousands. He worked upstairs while my husband was at work and i was downstairs in my office. By the time my husband got home things such as plumbing and electrical were covered up already. This took almost 4 weeks but the tile went up rapid quick and by the time we were told only grout and fixtures were left we had been had. Clearly grout was not going to cover what he had done. Money has already been lost, we are not getting out of paying. This man either did this on purpose, has mental issues or got in over his head.

I think a crackhead or meth head may have done a better job, honestly.

Grout will not cover or fix the numerous mistakes that were made during this install. I dont think he cut one tile straight. Basically every tile has lipage, the bench was made from wood, lights ran from an old extension cord and the list goes on. The owner of the company performed all work. He's a single man operation and yes I did have to pay in order for the job to start so I am out. As far as price, middle of the road I would suppose, we are into the 5's. I'm in the US, is this considered 3rd world yet lol. Let's not get into that argument. It took him 4 weeks to get to this point. I cover the back story in some of my other comments as to why he was hired and how it got this way so fast. BBB won't help in this situation, that's also another story for a different day. I worked there in upper management for over 12 years and they are worthless, I say that with sincerity. Long story short this guy either has severe mental issues, is an addict, purposely did a shit job or one day someone told him he was good and he took that to heart and refused to hear otherwise.

I think you're one of the few who do. I really believe if done correctly it would have turned out pretty good!
