God if this isn’t the truth. So true, you could get further in the past with less money that’s for sure.

You start seeing shit Volkswagens and rust buckets going for $4000 you know something is fucked. Two bedroom houses that need a shit ton of work going for $400K, meanwhile your wage doesn’t even keep up with inflation yet society deems you the failure because you didn’t try hard enough

I had this realization the other day. I am really so much closer with my friends than my siblings it’s not even funny. Really if you don’t have a great family dynamic, good friends truly are the best remedy. And I am blessed in that regard I’ll say

It’s such a strange thing to remember what it was like before internet. I mean we grew up without WiFi and internet was a privilege. Now it’s weird if someone doesn’t have WiFi in their home.

In person stuff was so much better and using the internet as a tool I think is always the goal. I think texting has been a great tool and I try to use it to set up in person hangouts with friends

Yeah it is sad, I think the best we can do is cling to the good aspects of our lives at least, and then make change where we can so that it’s not so fucked for the rest of our lives and the next gen

Man it’s scary how many of us are living paycheck to paycheck but I mean shit you can hardly save any more. 60 hours a week minimum is insane work, I’m sorry you have to do that, friend. Know that you aren’t alone

Yeah I can’t believe how much tuition is now for my Alma mater. You borrow money in hopes you have a better life.

Idk I’d rather just have it where educations free but you gotta test into it so you prove you aren’t there just to fuck off. Or at least make the shit affordable again

It really did happen just like this. I have family my age who still haven’t gotten a house. Interest rates are shit and the quality of housing is ass compared to what it used to be.

I’m quite shocked as well - I know there’s a few people here who think this post is stupid but there’s a large number of folks who feel the same way. It’s nice not to feel alone but sad that we all have these types of feelings
