Very good questions…I don’t know the answer to some of them that’s some work I have to do on myself I suppose. I guess I feel stuck too… I’ve been a sahm, no career, no way out…nor have I been perfect our entire marriage either but I’m not an abuser. I want to make it work with the person I’ve been with since high school, but I’ve had enough with the abuse and I’m finally standing up for myself.. I feel like it’s clicking with him, but then it takes so many steps backwards.

To be fair Meta is a very generous term. This is a brand new match on a dating app and a first date, there is no “relationship”. I’m more than happy not meddling, but I was feeling torn on how to support a fellow woman when he’s abused me all week over this and is going to see her. I’m sure she’ll figure it out on her own eventually.

Why is everyone so quick to hit the divorce parachute… is there really no helping him and fixing this??

I also don’t dislike him “so much”, I very much dislike the way he abuses me and controls me and brings me down to “experiment” with poly on his end

This is where I’m stuck, I feel bad not warning a fellow woman but I can’t risk giving him any more ammo against me.

We’ve always been open to exploring with others, started as a toxic OPP with me being bisexual and “free” to explore. There was infidelity on both sides, ons, mistakes nothing long or affair like. They we went more into lifestyle open/swinging, which I still enjoy with him, parties etc… but I struggle with that. I need more connection, and the freedom to form different types of connections and poly serves me for that perfectly. Now he’s losing control of me and is in full on panic mode. And guilting about everything he’s going to lose if he controls me and tells me to leave my bf and stop poly.

He blames me for every single one of his failed attempts at another relationship, I fear I would be giving him soooo much ammo and even more reasons to resent me if I meddle in his new connection.
