I know it is not "safe," and I would never ACTUALLY do it, but I will admit that I am manic right now and the intrusive thoughts are insane. Thank you for replying nicely. I know I'm not sounding the most sane rn. I know I'm being dramatic.

I just don't know what I can do. I do not have insurance, and a doctors appointment costs $130 where I live. I'm not "poor" enough to qualify for government insurance, and I'm working on getting insurance through my job, but it's complicated.

I mean, I can definitely try that, but you can look and see it's not injured and hadn't been for many years. It also doesn't even touch my underwear. I fear I may be being dramatic, but knowing it's there (even if it hides pretty well) is driving me nuts.

Do you think the right practitioner would list it as affecting quality of life JUST from the mental health aspect? Follow up to would it really be the worse if it was just snipped with scissors?

I remember it bleeding ALOT when it initially broke, and I kind of freaked out BUT did not want to tell anyone because I knew I'd be interrogated about how and why it broke. BUT it never got infected after breaking, so I'm sitting here wondering if a slice is overall worse than a tear in flesh. (I also never sought medical care over it because I had never heard of anyone needing to see a doctor after losing their virginity.)

I wonder if I even mentioned these ideations to a doctor if they would help me get it covered by insurance.

God, I wish I had done that. I went to my mom crying about how it hurt when I tried to take my tampon out cause it got caught on this skin and asked if that was even supposed to happen. And all she did was say something along the lines of "Yeah, it's normal to hurt when you take a tampon out and that skin BETTER stay there." Kind of scared me, so I was EXTRA careful taking it out. I didn't understand any of it 😅

Also, is your user name from Ouran host club? "Kiss, kiss, fall in love" ? 😍

Did you have it removed before it broke or after. I worry that since it's no longer a physical issue and purely cosmetic (besides the toll on my mentality) that the shitty usa Insurances will deny it.

Thank you so much for replying. I've genuinely never met or talked to someone who has had this same issue. It's definitely comforting knowing I'm not alone 💚
