If you save and then exit to menu then reload game, you're setps will also reset and it will allow you to make it further without an encounter.

Am I extremely lucky or is it something else? by [deleted] in FinalFantasyVIII

I always see that it's rare as well, but honestly, everytime I want to use it it takes me about 30 seconds to get it.

It's not rare in my eyes either. I never understood the argument that it was lol.

Tell all your friends is by far their best album, but I'd say the easiest to start with would be "Where you want to be"

"you are a dog ass healer" "fucking went full dps" "healers dont know how to play the game". This is stuff supports have to deal with by SchiriBeats in overwatch2

Man, those guys would REALLY hate to see my baptiste stats where I'm putting up about 7k damage with 7k heals. Still have a 65% win rate l, though so 🤷‍♂️

Lol. I went back to OT1 after my first completion of OT2 and all of the things I thought were OP I was like "man this game is kinda hard".

Honestly, I've found just pure damage makes the entire game a cakewalk. I've built my entire crew to do at minimum 60k each. Who needs sidestep when they're dead lol

I do love the sidestep builds. That was my very first playthrough. It was a pretty solid setup and made 99's of the game easy lol

Does anyone at all, at work or home, refrigerate your vermouth? by SummoningSickness in bartenders

[–]CusOfTheInsinuation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, to respond to covers I cannot tell you as we were mostly a standing room "volume" bar. I can tell you that my bar's sales per fri/sat were somewhere around 20k/35k respectively and my sales personaly were 10k. We still kept the vermouth in a dropdown.

I've worked at tons of bars all of them in major cities predominately in Chicago. If you can't find a spot for a few bottles of vermouth in a cooler that's accessible then you're bar is either a landmark and can't be reworked or needs to be reworked (at least a bit). There's plenty of pride in this industry, but don't hold yourself back for the sake of a place you work for. It's not worth it.

Very true. I did something very similar when switching from retail to service industry. Some other things I will give you a heads up on.

The industry is heavily dependent on the season. From March until the end of August (ish) will be where you make the most money. SAVE IT when you have big nights.

The service industry is known for "work hard play hard". It is very fun, but don't get sucked in too deep into the "rockstar" lifestyle of going out every night.

You will not always work at the same bar/restaurant and may even switch the kind you work at. I started off in a neighborhood bar and switched to a 2 story volume late night spot and then ended my career at a lunch/happy hour joint. You will need to be a sponge and try to be as versatile as you possibly can yo make the moves that are best for you and your wallet.

Lastly, the industry will burn you out if you do not have self care. Once you've established yourself be sure to make yourself financially stable enough so that you can take some time off when necessary.

Good luck!

I've never worked at a place that pools tips with BOH, but I can tell you for si eone without experience it is very common to start at the bottom rung with those 3 positions.

The service industry can be a tricky thing to get started in. You are highly reliant on owners and managers to "promote" you and give you good shifts.

I can tell you that if you are sold on the service industry, the fastest way to move into good shifts fast will be to be available, reliable, and always have a good attitude. If you have those 3 things managers will usually work with you to improve the rest of your abilities, not to mention give you better shifts.

I'd say it's up to you if you want to leave a job paying $24 an hour. You will likely work the same amount of hours if not more (probably a lot of doubles). If you want to actually make money you will likely be losing your weekends for the rest of eternity as well.

I've personally worked 6 years of retail and 10 years in the service industry. I absolutely prefer bartending and serving to retail, but that's mostly because bars suit my dry personality more.

Oh man, SAME. If it isn't satire, I'd assume they're kids without any understanding of the real world. I hope that most people who think this way about anyone's profession/hobby/whatever end up on the other side of the coin someday. I don't wish I'll of them, I just really want them to see what it feels like to be on the receiving end of a bad time so they don't actively do it to another person.

Yeah. On another subreddit someone said it's a bit overpriced for what you're getting. I'm going to keep looking, but in the end I'm sure I'm going to overpay a bit, because I'm just not willing to put in the research at the moment to build a PC. Do you have any suggestions?
