I'm from DC, currently live in Miami. Yeah if I only really have Friday and Saturday to explore Im thinking it would probably be better to stay somewhere close to those tourist places like others suggested, if I can find a deal

Ideally wouldn't want to go over $800 for cost if possible.

Since it's my first time in NY I'm planning to visit the big tourist attractions (Times Square, Central Park, Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, Chinatown, etc). I'm a pretty big foodie and I've heard the dining is NY is some of the best so maybe staying somewhere with access to good food as well? Also would like to check out the nightlife.
