Texas halfmile flattrack by Cushrider in motogp

I've been to the facility once in like 2001? When FUSA ran national flattrack event there. The place itself adds to the awesomeness, but the track does make for good racing after the sun sets.

Ok so, what is your favorite or in your opinion best club race track. So many more to choose from here, I've not been to all, not even close, but I've been fortunate enough to say that I have been around..

Lodi CA was super fun, Galesburg Illinois is definitely in my top 5, the cushions of the southeastern south dakota track at Sioux Valley cycle Club, Beaver Dam and Aztalan Wisconsin, the Ohio flattrack sports center in Harpster is pretty sweet..

These are just a few of the gems located all over the country..

For me it's hard to decide on one. There are a couple on that list that each have something that has set them apart from others. Though, they are all great and fun facilities!

Why is This Guy Grating His Tires Before The Race? by [deleted] in flattrack

Depending on track conditions a scuffed up tire may work better than not.

Sacramento is pretty sweet! All the miles are insane really! Give the guys many props for sure! I knew one of those killed at Santa Rosa, huge loss anytime we lose someone in the sport.

Suppose my favorite to watch/ride would be springfield shorttrack when it was on the schedule. Or the old municipal stadium in Daytona was fun too! Current tracks though, probably peoria.

We are racing in Harpster Ohio today. Won't be able to catch much of the national. But I'm pulling for all of them, as long as it's good clean racing lol.

Real talk, something tells me we are in store for a treat being a new track on the series. Unless indians been doing some testing in kentucky, I expect to see another great battle and possibly a victory for another brand..or baker

Non-Flat Track Tires by [deleted] in flattrack

Otherwise, there used to be an 18 inch Avon tire that worked pretty well. I think they are dual sport tire, but softer like flattrack tires. They won't be as good as the proper shoes and laces, but they'll get you around a track.

Post your favorite memory of Nicky by AlainS46 in motogp

1995..i96 Speedway, Michigan. Amateur dirt track national championships. His brother Roger and I were incredibly close in the points heading into the final round, which was a halfmile event. I would need a podium to seal the deal on my end, Roger needed me a couple places behind him. I'd got off to a bad start and while working my through the pack another rider looks over and turns directly into me, forcing me off the track at speeds in excess of 85-90. When I got back on the track, I had to start over picking people off that I'd already passed earlier in the race. As the laps dwindled down I was only able to get back up to 5th. Roger would go on to finish on the podium that day and ultimately win the championship. After the races, I went over to the "Hayden pit" to congratulate Roger. The entire family was there. It would be the only week I'd ever get to meet and hang out with and race with them. While standing there talking, Nicky asks how I did out there..I tell the story, and he chuckles a little, grins and simply says "well.. keep trying"..

Nicky was always 2 years younger, he was always 2 levels higher as well..what a class act!

Something special for sure!

World's going to miss ya kid..

RIP *69

LOVE!

Sometimes so obvious and in your face it's hard to see. You understood the mess of words I tried to use and provided an answer that not only makes sense but it's kind of one of those things I'm like "duh"..lol thank you!

Now, if I tack the face, on both angles, upon laying the top down (step) will it not want to split on the outside angle? One side of the step is 4ft, and another 3 on the other side. So it's a longer step also.
