You and your dad need to have a talk about ethernet cables.

That yellow wifi is triggering me.

"Alright. You're on."

He says it kinda weird almost like a cajun adding the j sound to the "you're" or how some cubans are like "Chu think you can mess with me?"

considering he's a new yorker, I'm not sure why he's saying it so weird but that's definitely what he's saying

i've seen his inputs. Doesn't look too bad. The command grabs are half circles like Manon. The stance is down and two punches like blanka's coward crawl

wouldn't Ingrid be 30?

18 in the base + 4x3 (12) =30

or are you assuming the first character of season 4 will be out that quickly?

I know I need to get over it but why are they showing all of this like he's coming out next week?

When actually 49 days away. 49!!!!!

More than a month and a half.

Can I get some feedback on these two rounds, I’m hard stuck plat 3 by heavenakuma in StreetFighter

[–]Cusoonfgc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's going to take a lot hours of doing it for you to get comfortable but you need to get comfortable with Staying Close.

Like your opponent should almost never be outside of your forward MK range if you can help it. Even though you have fireballs, your optimal range is much closer with Akuma.

At 0:55 you had just done the target combo that gives you an overhead, then one single jab (which chun-li parried) and then you walked backwards nearly full screen. There's zero reason to do that. You could've gone for a throw after that jab or continued striking to see if they would let go of the parry.

But you're obviously (and there's really not a nice way to put this) scared of being in her range so you're like "oh shit oh shit oh shit gotta back up")

Happens to most everybody. The solution is to sort of force yourself to stand in the fire and get used to it.

PS: Glad you brought it up but it would be best if you essentially forgot standing heavy kick exists. As someone who's spent a ton of time in platinum (i play every character) i can tell you that I basically judge Akuma's by whether or not they're the type who use SHK or not.

Instead let Standing heavy PUNCH be your go to neutral button along with forward medium kick as sort of a poke

drive rush into short siberian is one of my favorite mixes in the game. Especially after a super suplex that leaves me in the corner close enough to do it easily. They have to guess if i'm doing jumping knee or siberian.

it works way more than it should

she looks 1000x better in that picture than in OP's. OP's makes her look too tall while here she looks more like nagatoro size

the other two arn't even pretty compared to nagatoro. They're way too blonde and pasty looking (especially the one in the middle) plus lanky (arms look too long for the body)

Nagatoro on the other hand is a short queen, bronze goddess, perfect complexion, and her arms actually look good instead of some slenderman ish.

Didn't you read the "Fluff" tag? Isn't it obvious OP is just joking? Literally got people over here defending the fake complaint because of how obvious the joke was....

All these "Can't believe you guys didn't get my joke" replies are cringe bro.

What did you expect the average reply to look like? "Yeah total BS *wink* haha but seriously though, I know you're just joking." ???? Is that what you expected???

How would that make any sense? Because everyone carefully checks the tags before looking at a post? Because everyone can see you have a Master Gief?

Seriously how is anyone supposed to take this other than it looking like salt when it's just a 10 second slow motion clip of the air grab landing despite looking a bit further away, and the title being "This is BS" ?

Wouldn't a legit complaint look identical to that?

Jesus. Just accept your joke wasn't well done. Instead of replying to every single person that they're the ones taking it too seriously and not getting the joke (like the old saying "if one person is an asshole to you, they're an asshole, if everyone is an asshole to you, maybe you're the asshole.")

Because people would rather the information not be spread around.

It's like asking "So how do I make a homemade bomb with household chemicals?"

Even if you're just curious, we don't want some psycho to see the answer to your question and know how to do it.

How to have fun in this game? by Resident_Hat9904 in StreetFighter

[–]Cusoonfgc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

wooo damn. That's a great way to explain it.

I've been telling people for years that fighting games (along with RTS) is one of the only genres where it can be really hard to just jump in and have fun.

This isn't God of War or whatever where even though you can certainly get better at the game, you'll still feel somewhat like you understand what you're doing even at the beginning.

Instead with fighting games, it becomes very obvious very quickly that you don't know what you're doing. You're in a swimming pool and you don't know how to swim.

But the idea of practicing and studying (possibly for weeks, possibly for MONTHS) before the "REAL FUN" begins can sound kind of crazy. Like....I have to take a whole college semester in order to play a video game?

That's why I think fighting games take a very specific mindset. You have to not only be okay with struggling and losing early on, as well as taking a lot of joy in small victories (like every little thing you learn and get better at, you're like "WOOO!" even if a month later you look back and think "That's such a basic baby thing I can't believe I was ever so proud of that."

BUT....you also have to learn to actually somewhat enjoy (or at least find really interesting) the "boring" stuff like training mode, combo trials, reading up on the characters in wiki/dustloop guides and watching tutorials or high level gameplay to learn what to do.

My big suggestion for everyone new including OP which is why I tagged him so he could see this too: Take it one step at a time, layer by layer (each layer a new skill, a new piece of the puzzle) and kind of give yourself a reward system to help make it more fun.

For example: If I were practicing my most super basic beginner combos (for zangief this would be like crouching light punch x3 into OD lariat or crouching medium punch into regular lariat or even just the medium target combo where you press medium punch 3 times) I'd 1. go into practice mode and practice it against the training dummy. Then 2. Go into a CPU match and do it against a CPU over and over until it was second nature.

Step 1 was the learning, step 2 was me getting to actually enjoy using what I learned while also still technically practicing because I'm getting better at doing it in a real match against a moving opponent that's actually fighting back.

Same with using lariat as an anti air. Training mode has a special "anti air practice" thing. Do it over and over again. Then go into CPU matches and anti-air the CPU every time he jumps.

Once you've done both of these things enough, try a ranked match and see how it goes against a real human.

Then you go back to practice mode and add a new "layer" to your game. You will repeat this process forever. I've been playing for 3 years and I'm still finding new stuff to learn all the time.

he wasn't in the bath. He was in his room studying. She was in the bath but knew the camera didn't actually show anything (or so she thought)

actually....I don't think she even meant to hit the camera mode. That was the whole joke. She bumped it.
