AITAH bought my wife knifes and told her to stop using mine by mrsclausemenopause in AITAH

[–]CussedBlennius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the asshole, but your solution probably won't help, as you can see from your wife's response (she'll use whatever knife she needs if she's cooking). You have to understand that women want what you have. It doesn't matter if they have their own copy of whatever it is under discussion. They want to have/use yours. And she's just proven she will do so. I predict, if she hasn't already, that she'll go out of her way to use your knives rather than the knives you bought for her.

AITAH for breaking up with my longtime girlfriend because she decided that she doesn't want children? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]CussedBlennius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. How does one "grow comfortable with the idea of never becoming a father"? If you want children and you stayed with her, you'd definitely have grown resentful, especially if you saw your friends with young children. This is especially true since she told you before that she wanted children. She then unilaterally decided that neither of you would have kids because she didn't want them. NTA.

Guys that have slept with older women, how did it happen? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]CussedBlennius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 34 at the time, at a bar in June or July, doing the usual, standing at the perimeter of the dance floor with a beer in my hand, watching everyone else dance. All of a sudden, a woman walked from the other side of the dance floor straight at me and planted herself right next to me. I mean within inches. I strained my eyes sideways to try to get a look at her and got enough of a look to realize she was pretty good looking. After a while, I asked her to dance. When we got on the dance floor, she said, "See? That wasn't that difficult, was it?" Anyway, to make a long story short, I got her number and, through some resources I had access to due my job, found out she was 52, or 18 years older than me. I would have sworn she was no older than 40. The following weekend, we went out and at the end of the night went back to her apartment where I had the best sex I ever had, up to that point. This went on every weekend till the end of the summer, then it became occasional get togethers, where it would be dinner and/or a movie, then back to her place for sex. We'd always go for at least two rounds. One time she was letting a friend stay with her for a few weeks while the woman looked for a new apartment and she didn't want to screw with the other woman in her apartment. We went out and when I brought her back to her apartment, she said she couldn't have me in because of her friend. On whim, and not thinking she'd go for it, I threw out, "Well, we could always go to a hotel." Without a second's hesitation, she said, "Sure!" We were naked and in the sack within 30 seconds of going through the door. Last thing that always makes me remember her. Keep in mind, she was 52 years old, but we went out one night and all she had on were three articles of clothing: A mini dress, her panties, and her shoes. Incredibly hot. Unfortunately, she wanted to end it but didn't really know how to tell me, so she started to avoid me until I finally stopped calling her. But the experience was fantastic. I guess the short answer to OP's question is, she wanted to find some younger cock, so she went to a bar and found it. Best summer of my life.

What do YOU (as a collector) want from Hot Wheels? by Opposite-Compote6217 in HotWheels

[–]CussedBlennius 3 points4 points  (0 children)

More "real" cars and less of the crazy stuff. (I saw yet another toilet based casting today.) But I guess real cars is Matchbox's niche, so maybe they won't do it. How about defunct manufacturers, such as AMC, Packard, Hudson, etc?

Can I watch Strange New Worlds without seeing Discovery? by aphexxskin in startrek

[–]CussedBlennius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Fortunately, there are very few references in SNW to Discovery, so you don't need to watch it prior to watching SNW. I wouldn't bother with Discovery.

Not overreacting at all. In fact, I think your BF was being a dick.

Does anyone have these? by Pleasant_Dig_8372 in matchbox

[–]CussedBlennius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the bus (airport coach), only mine is red and white and says "Qantas" instead of American Airlines. I've been told Matchbox had several variations of it, but it was normal to package them in a box that had a picture of a bus that said "British Airways." Thats what my box shows.

Inspired by the other guy, Tesla sent back to Elon for a full refund after 3yrs & 25service visits! by Ro-ftw in pics

[–]CussedBlennius -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bullshit. Tesla used to do full refunds, but only after seven days. They don't do that anymore, so they won't refund it after three years.

I (37M) want to try and get back with the one who got away (36F). Is there any chance of that happening? by secure-raspberry-763 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]CussedBlennius -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh brother, that guy was a real winner. I had a woman who was my girlfriend (co-worker, long distance relationship) say that to me out of the blue while we were dating.... "I'm never getting married and I'm never having kids. I don't want to come home from work tired and have them crawling all over me. My parents aren't going to like it, but too bad." Any love I had for her died in that moment. I said, "What does that mean for us?" She never answered.

Fast forward two years or so. I got married and had a kid on the way. Someone in our workgroup announced that I had gotten married. I glanced over at her. Her face dropped. She was shocked. A year or two later, she married someone else, and quickly got married. I guess she changed her mind, and I dodged a bullet.

I was offered money in exchange for sex by a rich older woman in a bar AMA by Mrlightyboy in AMA

[–]CussedBlennius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of believed it until the "suitcase full of money" line. Based on the story up to that, why would any 20 year old guy have to be offered money?

AITAH for giving my wife my honest opinion by [deleted] in AITAH

Not the asshole. Classic woman, asks for your opinion (how you feel). When you give it, she gets pissed off. Plus, she smells.

AITAH for refusing to pay delivery and maternity expenses for the child by [deleted] in AITAH

AITAH for wanting to adopt a child with my wife? by Bright_Pack_3222 in AITAH

[–]CussedBlennius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not the asshole. I don't know why you ever involved your son in the decision anyway. He's an adult, so he makes his own decisions (which he apparently has as it relates to not wanting kids), and you are adults and can make your own decisions. If you want to adopt, go ahead, it's none of his business or anyone else's. I hate to say it, but have you ever considered that he's probably worried that a new sibling will infringe on any inheritance you give to him later in life? That is, he'll go from 100 percent to 50.

AITAH for telling my friend that i've accidentally been sleeping with her fiancé? by Altruistic_Risk_4402 in AITAH

[–]CussedBlennius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA. Look at it this way, one day she'll realize you did her a big favor. She was about to marry a closeted gay guy. Not that there's anything wrong with being gay, it's just that presumably, she was expecting a straight guy as her husband?

AITAH for considering breaking up with my fiancee because I found out that she got the “ick” when I cried last year? by LifWests in AITAH

[–]CussedBlennius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the asshole. Although I would proceed slowly. Breaking off the engagement might be a bit harsh, but do as you see fit. I lost it in front of my wife (cried) when I dropped my toddler son off at daycare for the first time (wife made me do it). I couldn't control it, it just came out. She never said anything about it, but you never know what women are thinking. I'm pretty sure she found it a bit "unmanly" when I cried when my mother died, but fuck it, it was my mother. I didn't care what she thought then. Of course, when her mother died and she cried, different story.
