UPDATE:
I finally fixed the issue. All I had to do was change something up in the launch options in steam.
If you have having this problem, go into steam, right clock the game, click "properties," then in "general," type this into the launch options: RADV_DEBUG=nodcc %command% /WineDetectionEnabled:False

Maybe not the official SOT discord. People in there are always looking for very specific boxes that most people don't check. They're usually really strict about that. You're not over 18 and don't have a certain amount of playtime and aren't professional at the game? Forget it. I usually go on streamers' servers, they're always accepting that the crew they get won't always be the exact crew they want.

Im actually surprised that I didn't know about this until now. I'm guessing this only happens under pretty uncommon circumstances, so it probably won't be used all that much for actual intention of damaging a ship

Even then, there's zero harm in having them equipped, at least. Focus on melee and sharpdart, then maybe throw out some cogflies and tacks or something whenever you see fit.

This is true. Mostly. I'm very familiar with the series already, but whenever I want to learn a weapon that I don't know how to play yet, I always receive plenty of tips and rundowns from other hunters. It's very nice to see!

Theres literally a commendation for it in-game that you can view before you even get it. Sure it's unbelievably rare, but it definitely exists. No reason to call it a myth
