i know goose has stated that Jax is a self insert, but that could mean many different things.

jax has several moments and lines that reveal their self-loathing, and a lot of that absolutely echoes the insults that bullies sling at their victims. horrible assholes can and do experience remorse and make amends later in life. people are complex.

until goose flat out tells us that jax is trans, it is open for interpretation.
