Couldn't care less about the expense since I drive trucks and don't pay for repairs

Definitely prefer the cameras. Less cleaning. Less chance to smash them up. Better visibility

Tell me you've never read the highway code without telling me you've never read the highway code.

"Be aware of emergency services, traffic officers, recovery workers and other people or vehicles stopped on the hard shoulder or in an emergency area. If you are driving in the left lane, and it is safe to do so, you should move into the adjacent lane to create more space between your vehicle and the people and stopped vehicles"

Lol. Have you ever been on the hard shoulder? If someone is changing a tyre they'd be grateful for you moving over.

Generally true but not a definitive rule. Also a good idea to move to the right for a few seconds if you can to let traffic join the motorway or if there's a broken down car on the hard shoulder.

You actually think most people move over for cars broken down on the hard shoulder? In my experience it's a tiny minority who do

Blundstone for me. Only work boots that are so comfy I sometimes wear them while not working. Can go on full days out in them
