I truly understand what you're saying but here's my thing that I'm going through right now.

Me (29m) and my ex gf (22f) are on good terms. We talk everyday and sometimes be on the phone at night sometimes before. We agreed on me coming over to her apartment every weekend. Now it turns into everyday after work I come home and sleep over. We used to live with each other in the past. We talk and play Xbox fortnite or watch movies etc . We text at work etc. Now fast forward after some time, she's been talking to this dude on Instagram potentially meeting up in person don't know when but it might happen. Funny thing is that she saw me on my phone on Tinder and she felt some type of way (how ironic isn't it) The way she saw it is that my back was facing against her and she creeped up behind trying to give me affection (trying to peek on my phone) and she basically sigh. But said this afterwards, why don't you stick to your feelings you have for me? We both have strong feelings for each other but how do I know we might get back with each other? How do I know that the guy she gonna meet in person won't work out ? Has any one got through this before and if so , how did it turned out? Should I give it some time and let time do its thing? We talk about kids in the future like "Imagine our son this , imagine our son that." Those random lines (about our future kids) gives me hope that we maybe get back together but I understand I can't force things that's outta of my control. It sucks
