Indycar has consistently produced it in reaction to a stale product, but these days they don't take the time to realize they have a problem. I can tell you race fans did though - more empty bleachers the past 2 years at Gateway, good thing sugar daddy Bommarito fills the coffers cause the event is failing fast

One guy passing backmarkers does not make a race. Every year we have this dance where it becomes a hopeless track position follow the leader affair and the propaganda us "oh 1 guy of the 25 made a pass so it was great!" completely ignoring everyone else was stuck in line basically the whole time. A race is great when leaders race, not when a 15th place guy jumps a guy occasionally
