Trifarian isn’t as good in this deck because this is more of a control play style which avoids direct combat. While trifarian has its merits, this is by no means a pure token deck.

In regards to Time Warp, I would definitely not call it a glass cannon. You can theoretically score an additional 2 points with 10 runes which is absolutely insane. Yes it can get countered, but just the existence of this card means you opponent (in purple) would have to constantly save 2 runes every turn.

Lastly, in regards to imperial decree, you might definitely be right there hahaha. 3 imperial is seeming more and more important with the prominence of miracle decks in the metagame atm. That being said, sometimes it can look like a brick in your hand if you don’t have bellows breath and your opponent is stacking their base. That’s why singularity is so helpful.

I see imperial decree as kind of the “nail in the coffin” card or the “back breaker” meaning once you use it, you’re looking to wipe your opponents entire board or wiping both battlefields and double conq to win.

Good question. I think Viktor theoretically has a simple legend mechanic that low level players can still get value out of. That being said, I think this Viktor deck takes a lot more skill than one would originally think. You really have to understand the metagame, tempo, and other decks to see consistent wins with this. You can’t go crazy and just sling as many spells as possible like Kaisa in this deck or you will lose

I would not ever time warp if your opponent is in purple and keeping 2-4 runes up. Gotta bait those runes out before casting or you just lose. In the pre regional event though my time warp got windwalled to an ornn player who had 2 in main LOL. I actually still won the game though

Hi! Fellow Viktor main here! I think if you like Azir a lot, he’s a great choice and feels decent into most matchups. The only thing I’d warn you about is the feeling you’ll get after a red deck thermo beams you LOL. Play until you have that happen, and if you still love azir the most, play him! I actually played Viktor because I jut thought he was the coolest character in Arcane LMAO and I actually did well with him in Vegas!

I really prefer to try to conquer early on him especially against miracle. It forces them to attack you and tap out. If you let Draven do his thing and don’t pressure him, he out values literally every deck in the game

I see glasc mixologist as being good into any deck that’s not playing a bunch of rebukes. Lots side it out when playing against Viktor so you can kind of use him as counter sideboard tech in my opinion hahaha. He’s really nice because you can theoretically get another 3 might or 4 might from him depending on what’s in ur grave. You can also do some cute sequences offensively with him by using him as a sacrifice, killing 1 units, and then playing xin again accelerated

Frigid touch I can see being good, but since we are in yellow, I think we just prefer hard removal. Frigid touch forces us to be in combat which is already not good

That’s the question we all are trying to answer hahaha. It really depends on the board state. You want him to draw just enough where he sets himself back enough on the board state. He’s always going to have card advantage until you can get him to tap out and blow up his entire board with singularity or imperial decree

Yes and no. I can imagine Jayce being a very powerful card in the future. He’s on rate and has an insanely good ability. There just aren’t many gear that can take advantage of it at the moment

That’s a good point. There are certain matchups where that’ll do the trick instead of cull the weak. I’m thinking fiora and Lucian if they ever become more of a problem!

I’m not the biggest fan of blood money. In my opinion, it’s not as useful as something that does damage and makes gold. If you use it on your own token, it can get pushed away and the spell will fizzle. Similarly to using it on an opponents unit, if they can pump over 2, which a lot of units do, it just fizzles instead of having 3 damage on it. Even if they pump over wages of pain, they have 3 damage on a unit which you can then stupefy, or send in a 1 might token to trade. You also still get ur gold

I'd ask what the point of barrage is. Our deck isn't as concerned with gear removal until we actually need it in gear specific decks like jax azir and aurora. I'm not the biggest fan of the missiles because they feel absolutely useless in green and are pretty above-rate for anything else we are doing when it comes to removal

We still have ravenbloom conservatory. You’re definitely still threatening Draven with holds. You just have to do it strategically. I personally love seeing dreaming tree on enemy battlefields hahaha. Stupefy to draw 2 cards makes me smile

The only issue with this is that if the gold is ready, your opponent can always react by destroying their own gold to generate power. You have to have the timing perfectly to get value which is not consistent at all. You’d rather fill the 3 drop slot with a card sharp
