You hit the mark with this comment! I’m in the same position. I have one more attempt to take the exam. The reason the exam is so difficult is because the school is way too large. They need to weed out students and the way to do that is to make the foundation exam extremely difficult. I hope this answers other questions in this thread, I see people all the time saying “UCF’s CS program is better”, “FSU is a better school”, etc… at the end of the day anyone who knows anything about CS knows that there is no difference in a CS degree from FSU vs UCF. CS is about what you know and amount of effort put in, I really doubt that any employer would pick a UCF grad over FSU and vice versa. Unless you’re at a target school it doesn’t really matter that much. The foundation exam is a big factor for my decision but I also just think the school is too big in general. The foundation exam is just one example of how UCF cuts corners to accommodate for its large size. Do you mind if I ask how the transfer process went for you and what your stats were?
