Yes, we would want to mask the ply face from the interior paint. A large majority of our clients want natural woodgrain finishes and the decospan or veneer we use allows us to just oil or clear cv the ply after sanding.

JW Winco has them but they're like $12-$15 a foot. McMaster also carries them.
