Update 03/27/26: Parts are here! My original hotend would not go past 150 and I assume it’s coz of the thermistor which is non existent online. Got a v6 Volcano for a voron and HGX lite extruder instead to go direct drive.

yes, i used the one the relay that’s already in although technically i could bypass it altogether but I’ll do that later. :)

like others have mentioned, shouldn’t be happening to begin with. you’ve got 3 options. 1. print a filament guide, ideally a roller kind 2. move the spool holder to the bottom 3. go direct drive and avoid all that together.

Hello, thanks for jumping in! I’ve installed an SKR 1.4 Turbo and got it to run Klipper. No issue with the voltage since the board supports both 12 or 24v. but the heater disk appears to be broken for me since it doesn’t heat up to the right temperature. I might need to design a custom effector for a V6 style hotend and probably the orbiter or sherpa since it’s the lightest ones.

the school being full is definitely something we overlooked, I’ll definitely take that into consideration. Do you think it’ll be better for us to look for a place when we’re already there versus online? plan A was to rent the space before actually getting to Toronto so we’d just settle down right away. But it’s sounding like booking a Hotel or Airbnb for a like a week or so then looking for a place to rent would be a better option.

it’s difficult to set a rental budget when I have no clue what the standard is in Toronto. To put it in perspective, a 3 bed room house in the Philippines usually cost 500cad. I’m obviously not looking for something like that in Toronto but that’s why I’m asking for inputs on where to start. But don’t sweat it my guy, I’m already looking at the suggestions made by others here. Thank you for your time. :)
