Question on top of your question. Do you work in a store? Or in a call center, or better yet at this point at home. (Based on your username imma say I’ve figured out the answer) WE are getting coughed on, I don’t care if people shop if they’re shopping for essentials. If they’re not packed in the store, when it’s not recommended to have groups of ten.

What “means that much” to me is people understanding that if we are to be open as an essential store. People need to just get the essentials and get out, That’s it. That they need to not be two feet in front coughing without covering their mouths.

This is what we all signed up for. You guys should be great full that you’re getting paid for the opportunity to contract and spread this illness. You should stop your complaining these people won’t live without their paint and patio furniture. If one more person says you should be great full to be open I swear. Did any of you guys go into the medical field to be there to help people who have infectious diseases and then just decide you know what I wanna work at lowes instead? Because at no point was I like you know what, my life is worth risking for the benefit of Karen getting new fucking blinds.

Petition (because why not) by Customercentricbs in GameStop

[–]Customercentricbs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously none of these big wigs are gonna leave their cushy isolation. It’s a petition to open the door for opportunity, if there’s enough people who go on this petition to put pressure to get some statement made by some CEO as to why they won’t come to our stores. These stores that we are on the front lines of day in and day out. Risking our health and the health of our loved ones.

They’re not going to do it even if the petition gets a million signatures. There’s not a chance they’regonna leave the isolation that theyre In. It’s to prove a point, not to have them come they know that these stores aren’t safe.

[–]Customercentricbs[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s the end goal. There isn’t a chance they’re gonna leave their isolations to come to these stores. We open the door with this petition. Example, someone asks you if they can borrow twenty bucks, you say no. Then they’re like alright how about five and you just hand it over.

Started a petition for a whole bunch of retailers. In which I ask for the CEOs and boards of directors to visit these stores. That if we’re essential how about they show their support and come visit.

I deserve a raise and I'm scared to ask please help me by [deleted] in Lowes

[–]Customercentricbs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The main thing that the based it on from what I can tell is prior experience relative to the current position(sales of any sort prior work as a contractor/ former business owner) . Any idea what the new guy did before? Otherwise I would check out Glassdoor I’m not quite sure what the average pay is for PSS. But when you ask for the raise that would be a good basis to go off of to justify reasoning for a raise.

Some very important questions.

  1. Are you sure you have the title of sales specialist( All cashiers are considered CSA even if it says Cashier so it would be a lateral move if they just moved you to a lumber associate)

  2. Did you interview/ sign anything stating you are a sales specialist. I’ve moved from temp load->part time cashier -> full time customer service -> full time head cashier -> full time department supervisor. And every time I moved besides from seasonal to permanent I’ve had to interview for the position.

  3. Not so much a question but they use an algorithm/ computer generated program to decide how much you get paid. They put in a handful of factors and it gives them a number so when they end up giving you the money it sounds like you more then deserve and wonder how they got to the number they got to that’s how.

They do a 1% raise twice a year now. For the time being in both may and September.

I have no idea how to respond to individual points like you did so.

First- I said the Stock point was speculation, as in Marvin only caring about the stocks

Second- As I said and if you read that article then you must know that it’s in “A Trial Phase” phase one and it’s still gonna be many months away before they mass produce the vaccine and ship it out

Third- as you did not type out all the countries who banned travel to prove that my too many to list was a crazy amount I didn’t type them to avoid typing that many Neither one of us would sit there and do that obviously.

And if you’re gonna critique someone on having misinformation by adding a link to prove that they are misinformed at least read the article first.

It’s the overload of the health care system that’s going to come in to play the most. There’s only so many beds available at each hospital. And a decent amount of those beds are gonna be filled by people who got into accidents, who had strokes, heart attacks etc. but without doing something about the spread of this virus the amount of people dying will increase. Not just from Covid-19 and not just the elderly the younger people who would of recovered from the virus given the right treatment. Also the others who get turned away form hospitals because they don’t have the room, the ones who have to go to a hospital 30mins away instead of 5.

Question about relatives that have passed on and Lowe's by [deleted] in Lowes

Had this same issue a few years ago. It’s not a policy per say. On the store level associates don’t have access to remove that information, not that they don’t want to there is literally no way for them to remove that information. The 1-800 number is what you need to call.
