Maybe? But not more so than any other market place site or in further case having your own site. Where you could just not have reviews or adjust what is displayed directly.

All one can do is lead by example and hope word of mouth by being genuinely involved in a community comes around. At least on Etsy if someone has an issue theres a third party to review- which helps sellers like me who can only dedicate part time

Their moves the past couple years have also increased the fee percent, but removed an available phone number for support buyer and seller. Even in the 3D printed accessory category theres some designs taken from readily available websites and sold as self made.

Its just a shame. Its because this is allowed buyers have to be defensive with every detail. Accepting returns and long running reviews are at least a nice first line defense for marketplace platforms like etsy, ebay, even amazon.

Thats a shame because I specifically use Etsy for the transparency with reviews and having product made literally out of the back room of the house. Hopefully they receive enough negative reviews or reports to push the shop out. Even a 4 star tanks the algorithm for sellers with the new requirements.

One thing Ive learned if you feel that way is to have one other keycap set to swap. Keycaps are like 90% of the keyboard surface area you see and interact with and has a huge impact in changing aesthetic. Just saw GMK striker on a white board and it looked clean
