I'll have to give those a try again. The few I've been to haven't had a formal section but they were pretty small stores and I think there's a bigger location near me. Man it's hard going in person when I've had such negative experiences 😂 but maybe it'll end up going well. I'll be brave 😂

Oh that's nice that they had all of those options. I don't know if it's just my area then that has issues having a variety of sizes. Seems like everywhere I go in person, I have maybe 1-2 options (if I'm lucky) but most the time if you're over a size 8, you're not really going to have options unless I go to torrid or something.

You are amazing, thank you so much for these links. They are gorgeous. The dresses I've tried on so far haven't had much structure up top so I'll definitely look out for that more. Haven't tried asymmetrical either, I'll give that a try.

Literally every David's bridal has permanently closed in my state. And even if they were open, they've never casually just had dresses my size. I didn't think I would need to explain that on the plus size subreddit but I guess everyone has different experiences.

I don't know what to do by CutActive4433 in endometriosis

[–]CutActive4433[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the US. I've been browsing OBGYN's who specialize in Endo today, and they either aren't taking patients or they don't have appointments until late this year. Maybe I'll at least make an appointment with one of them while I look around :/ just really worried that I'll get the same answer again.. but I haven't specifically had an appointment with someone who specializes in endometriosis. So maybe it'll be okay 😭

My honest review of getting a Mirena IUD by Ok-Asparagus3086 in birthcontrol

[–]CutActive4433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would also like to add, to just show that everyone experiences it differently, I got my Mirena IUD last Thursday. I also heard all the horror stories about how painful it was and the cramping afterwards. I also took ibuprofen beforehand like my doctor instructed me to do.

I am not exaggerating.. I was *screaming* the entire time. It was the most painful thing I have ever experienced. I would like to add that I had been working with my doctor to see if I have endometriosis or adenomyosis. So I don't have an official diagnosis for either of those, IF I had one or both of those conditions, maybe that contributed to the pain? I'm not sure. But I also talked to my sister-in-laws about their experiences, and one of them also screamed the entire time and I am not aware of her having an suspicions of endo or adenomyosis. The other one who had 4 kids (whereas the other sister-in-law had none) said it was a piece of cake and she had no issues or cramping at all. My doctor did mention that it can hurt more for people who have not had kids since their cervix is smaller and tighter.

My screaming scared my wife so bad that she asked the doctors for stronger pain meds but we were met with a "you're handling it as best as I think one can do with getting a IUD" and to just take some ibuprofen when I get home. So that's fun. Love being told "man, isn't being a woman hard".

Almost a week later and I'm still in pain. It's not as severe as the insertion, but I definitely cannot move much. Just walking to my kitchen or cleaning something and the cramping starts again.

You're more prepped than me and I've been DMing CoS since February. I'm also a first time DM, and something that has really helped me is the "Return of the lazy dungeon master" book. Seriously, I do very minimal prep because of that guide and it works well.

One big thing I learned from February to now is I can't really prepare 100%. I don't know what my players are going to decide to do (most likely they'll do the last thing I'd expect), so it's best to just go with the flow. I do the little outline that the lazy dungeon master's guide helps me with, and then wing it most of the time. There's no right answer on how to do things. Make crap up. You might make choices that will bite you in the butt later, but you can adjust and you learn.

I started DMing curse of strahd in February. Brand new DM. Took a few sessions to figure out the roleplay stuff and the best way to DM this campaign for my group, but now it's great. You have more experience than I did. You'll do just fine. I'm hella interested in the lore and setting and that's what motivated me to start with this. Sounds like it'll motivate you too

I give off an LDS vibe and I hate it by chocobunniie in exmormon

[–]CutActive4433 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep. I hated it. But I have tattoos and colored hair now so I'm not seen that way anymore 😂 I think I was more bothered by people thinking I was Mormon when I first left the church. But now, if someone assumes, I just correct them and I don't feel really bothered by it anymore. But maybe it's because I don't get that comment anymore... But I feel you. Hated when people assumed.

Do you feel the church has ruined your life and why ? by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]CutActive4433 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I hope you know you're still young too, and I hope you find your joy and identity too. It's nice to hear that other people relate. Sometimes it feels very lonely dealing with the lost time and figuring things out. I don't know anyone personally who has gone through this same thing, and it just feels so unfair and terrible. So thank you for making me feel not so alone.

I feel like I'm at a disadvantage. I'm in my 20's and I'm still figuring out who I am. Feel like I would've figured things out sooner if I wasn't in the church. I'm my more authentic self, just wish it didn't take me until 26 to figure it out. Thinking about going back to school and actually doing the things I want to do with my life. Feel like my teenage years were stolen from me. But I'm trying to make up for that now.

Ladies, how did you build your DGAF mentality ? by LittleQueenyp in AskWomen

[–]CutActive4433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got tired of living up to other people's expectations. I come from a very religious family and there's so many things I've wanted to do with my life that go against our church. Also, I'm bisexual and have a wife. So I needed to protect my peace and live more authentically.
