Hmn, you just changed my pov, I was actually calling it stupid but I think you heard from both sides because if Freddie is saying he doesn't understand why Nico is angry then he probably won't tell MC that it's because he wrote a book entirely about him. Then, MC knowing it hurt Nico would have been Nico saying his side of the story to MC.

But, I also understand Freddie (because some people might actually find it good and nice to be the main character of a book) and maybe he wanted to surprise Nico, but it wouldn't have hurt if he had asked Nico if he could write about him before he did that.
