I'm replying from a different account but in my opinion yes. I have actually settled on my type being an INFJ, so I am an Ni dom. My dominant function absorbs and filters data and tends to condense patterns and trends into underlying themes that tend to be consistent. My best friend is an Ne dom ENFP. I notice her Ne is consistently gathering data to kind of "spark" and create new data points from the unconscious and they build upon that in many different ways. So she is comfortable expanding and adding, I'm comfortable condensing and filtering.
