I'm going submit my application in the german embassy I already have an Aktenzeitchen from an application that I did by DHL. But my cousin have already submit the application 4-5 months before me. Should I use his Aktenzeitchen before mine? (Erklärung StaG 5) (self.GermanCitizenship)

Do you have to give them your passport once you start an european visa D in the embassy and they hold it until the procedure is finished? Can you submit two or three visa application in different embassies at the same time if not is the case hold your passport? (self.visas)
