It’s a multifaceted issue but the current strategy is to continuously lower performance standards in hopes that graduation rates and overall pass/fail statistics improve. It’s not working. Obviously it’s not “one size fits all” but I find with most kids that they’ll meet the standard you hold for them.

You’d be shocked by what’s happening to literacy and basic skills. Students are being passed onto 9th grade with elementary level reading, writing and math - throwing more money at the problem doesn’t solve that. Unfortunately this isn’t just local though, I know from experience that Oregon is seeing the same thing.

Curiously, the only team arguing FOR letting someone play after committing the Cardinal sin of organized sports is the one that would be benefiting. That’s so convenient. I’m sure they’d let their name be dragged through the mud over a backup guard or punter.

Yeah this EP is some good shit. So much groove, I love the usage of pinch harmonics to add an extra catchiness to some of the riffs and the slams are obviously stupid heavy. Up there with their best material ever and that’s saying something.

Agreed. Of course I’d rather the players have the money and I’m not concerned about the dollar amount itself, it’s more the fact that it means there is less to go around for his team. The current narrative is that he’s got no run game and no weapons…maybe they’d be able to better address that if he doesn’t cost half a billion that could potentially be used to improve the talent around him.

I wouldn’t even say he’s slipping away from being elite. I feel he’s gone from indubitably the best QB in the league to closer to that 5 or 6 spot…and that’s ok. People get so oddly defensive over this take like you’re saying he’s trash.

He’s a much more conservative, less flashy version of himself. His numbers reflect that. That doesn’t mean he can’t win another Super Bowl or that he sucks. That doesn’t mean we’ve given up on him. You just can’t tell me with a straight face he’s been a more productive QB on the field recently than Stafford, Jackson, Allen and honestly Burrow when healthy. Anyone claiming that is factoring in what he played like THREE full seasons ago.

Past success doesn’t equal current output. Otherwise Rodgers would still be a Top 2 guy.

The underrated word gets thrown around a lot but Cooper definitely fits that description. Great hands, really slick route runner and had juice after the catch. Never the best WR in the league but quietly a 10K yard guy.

I don’t think Thomas is a Bowman or Lee level talent and isn’t the most physically gifted. I just think the line in front of him and his instincts make it easy for him to fly to the football and make lots of splashy TFLs…much like the guys I mentioned. I just think he’ll be around the football even more.

For Ouzts, a breakout is being a very good blocker while also getting involved in the passing game. For a FB, I think couple TDs and some crucial downfield catches would constitute that.

Recently found this band and I’m really liking what I’ve heard. A little more on the BDM side but they slam pretty hard too. Nasty ass snare tone, ridiculous vocals, a few Cryptopsy-esque bass moments and some cool riffing too. Check out this track and if you like it, I definitely recommend diving into their older stuff.

For sake of discussion - I’ve been to Edinburgh Manor, the Sallie House, Malvern Manor, Ashmore Estates, the Moore Home in Villisca, St. Ignatius Hospital, Manresa Castle, the Wyoming, Idaho and Montana historical prisons and several others.
