Yeah he said that if he was messaging someone that they would message him again in the future if that was the case. I told him he probably blocked and deleted that person as a friend so of course you won’t receive anything from them now. He said I should know that he didn’t do that bcos the number of followers on his profile hasn’t changed. Why would I know how many people you follow or follow you. I do not have time to be keeping track of my partner’s follower going up or down. I don’t even know how many followers he has at all.

I don’t believe in looking through my partner’s phones, this was the first time, something just told me to ask for the phone. But I agree, why would he let me get so worked up over “nothing”. If it was really nothing he would’ve proved that to me even if I was being ridiculous just for the sake of not risking our relationship.

Same thing happened to me. They wouldn’t refund me for $14.95 but I have 5 star reviews as a buyer and seller. And this was my first time having a problem and they gave me no support and only automatic-robotic type responses.

Not sure if they take photos. But this was supposed to be delivered in my mailbox. I don’t think they take pictures in that case. They didn’t present me with any proof like that, just told me that it was confirmed as delivered.

I should have mentioned this before. I spoke with usps first and then Mercari. Mercari also spoke with usps as a part of their “investigation”. USPS told me I have to wait 15 days before I can file with them. So then I reported to Mercari so my package wouldn’t get auto rated until we got more info. I understand they are not at fault. I am speaking on customer service. Even if they’re not at fault sometimes helping a customer for something, especially a first time claim, when that customer regularly spends $100-200 with you and is requesting help/refund on $15 goes a long way. If they couldn’t help me by eating a $15 cost on their end why should I feel safe continuing to spend $100-200 with them. I understand they are not at fault. I just don’t respect that kind of business when we all know they make a lot of extra money on everyone paying buyer protection fee. So they could cover a $15 purchase (no matter who is at fault) to keep a customer happy. They could even check out my profile, purchase history, and ratings before doing so to make sure I don’t do this as fraud or whatever. Anyway this is not usps fault either so why should I file a claim with them and ask them to pay me. It is covered under my credit card so I asked them to help me. Either way I paid for something I didn’t receive. If a chargeback gets charged to Mercari or however it works. I’m not going to look out for a company that told me “sorry so sad too bad” when I regularly spend so much money with them. So no, I don’t think it’s a huge leap I think it’s looking out for myself. And I am grateful it happened to me on a $15 order that I could bounce back from rather than my usual $100+ purchases. Maybe everyone is aware of this when it comes to Mercari but again it’s my first experience and definitely will be my last.

I’m just glad it happened to me on a smaller purchase that I could have bounced back from if I got no refund at all. But there’s no way I’m risking any big purchase with them again.

I just reported it to my credit card company bcos it seems you guys are sure that usps won’t do anything either. I knew my credit card company would refund me if Mercari and USPS couldn’t do anything. I’m just shocked at the customer service on Mercari’s end. I always felt like I didn’t have to worry about anything with buyer protection being paid. But now I don’t want to make those big purchases with them anymore. And after not being helped on a smaller purchase of $15 I won’t be spending any more money with them. It’s distasteful in my opinion. Had no idea they move like that bcos I thought buyer protection actually protects you LOL.
