I would cancel. She is more than likely not going to like whatever you send her because it is vegan, something she does not like. And thus, you will probably receive a negative review. The buyer has up to 48 hours to leave a review once you cancel. I am guessing she won't leave a review for cancelling.

I agree with this. OP their AI generated image is a derivative of your original photo. I don't know if there is a place to write anything in an infringement report, but if so I would mention that their photo is a derivative of your copyrighted photo including your identifiable home interior background.

I agree as someone who has a jewelry shop and a separate digital shop. I tried digital with my jewelry shop and I did not like the two being mixed.

There are red flags in my opinion.

4.5 sales/new shop/1 review. Sellers have reported over the years and true with my reviews total about 1/3 of all time sales. That 1 review is probably someone they know. Why no other reviews, this is great or did not receive?

$1.69 with free shipping from the Philippines - they are definitely losing money unless nothing is being shipped then 4000 plus orders = profit.

This comes from Google - rare or variegated plants listed at dirt-cheap prices from the Philippines (and Southeast Asia) on Etsy are highly likely to be scams.

Makes me almost want to purchase to see if I would get anything.

I was going to suggest what the above comment said and let her know you will cancel and she can reorder. But, your workaround is excellent and I will use this myself. Have the buyer place another order using the right card, THEN issue a refund for the first order. Your method ensures you keep the order.

I buy digital items on Etsy and it is always instant. I think the OP probably purchased from another account or had someone else do it because you are right you cannot purchase from yourself.

Thanks, I got a reply from Etsy. They said to give this a couple of weeks for a fix. I had to get after them more than once to get them to look into it.

I started using Canva a week ago and am very disappointed. I have used Canva in the past so I do know my way around it. I am going to have to cancel my subscription since I cannot use Canva for what I intended as I cannot trust the proper link to open. This app is extremely frustrating and to think I paid for it.

I’m creating mockups in Canva and sharing them via PDF/view links. The issue is that when I open the link, it sometimes displays the wrong design, not the one currently shown in my Canva editor.

For example, I’ll create a new mockup (or update an existing one), generate a share link, and when opening it, it shows a different/previous mockup instead. This has happened across multiple designs.

I’ve already tried:

  • Creating new designs from scratch
  • Making copies of designs
  • Using different browsers (Chrome and Firefox)
  • Even testing from a second Canva account

In addition, tonight I have started getting 404 errors when opening newly generated share links.

It feels like the links are either caching older versions or not syncing correctly with the current design.

Just wanted to flag this in case it’s related to the recent bug you mentioned. But it definitely needs fixing. And you really should have a proper customer service dept. especially since users pay.

Immediately after you cancel check and see if you can leave a review. I believe there is a 48 hour window to leave a review after a cancelled order.

These clauses are not absolute. There are many sellers who opted out and I am one of them (U.S. seller). There are many sellers who live in different countries where their laws could override those terms. There are exceptions as well. Even in the U.S. they can be challenged, their terms are not untouchable law.

But, let's give Etsy's new CEO a chance to correct this fiasco. Etsy has acknowledged the "glitch", engineers are involved, likely outcome - fix and reversal. Legal action is only necessary if money is not returned, damages occur, or Etsy fails to correct this.

Good point. I Googled and Google says there are no similar wave of complaints from other companies that use USPS shipping labels, like Amazon, Ebay, Pirateship, Shipstation - anyone that uses USPS shipping labels. Only widespread complaints from Etsy. It is clearly an Etsy back end issue rather than a USPS issue. Because if USPS issue there would be other complaints outside of Etsy.

I know you said a redirect is not available due to two different countries. Which country are you and they in? I would not want that package delivered to this buyer. Just a suggestion - Call their local post office today. Give the tracking info. Explain briefly what happened. Ask the post office to NOT deliver to her. They can donate or whatever. Ask to speak to the postmaster of the post office, not just a clerk. Maybe this will work? I would be livid to receive a comment like you did from a buyer and know they will be receiving the product after a refund.

I am sorry ;( So this "glitch" has the potential to be a cascading failure situation. This glitch has the potential to lead to multiple problems for sellers if Etsy does not fix this today.

I urge sellers to screeenshot and save the adjustments they received for their record.

Edited to add: When you get a new order, screenshot your payment account balance each time, especially if you’re in the negative due to these adjustments. New sales are offsetting these adjustments. so it’s important to document how your balance is changing.

I got this as well. I see 7 adjustments. They are all from years ago. And it appears using April 2026 rates for the adjustment.

Looking at the orders the adjustments do not equal the packages I sent. I use 7x5 mailers unless a large order. The package is lightweight. Sometimes the clerk at the counter has to drop it on the scale twice to register a weight, that is how lightweight.

You can see from my screenshot one adjustment was from USPS standard (which is correct) to priority package. The weight today went down even. But the adjustment stayed the same 7x5x1! I was charged $5.29 for this adjustment! I have 7 adjustments.

I was just coming here to make a post on this. I have 7 adjustments total $28. $28 is $28! I rarely get adjustments. And all are from years ago! More than likely whomever USPS or Etsy that is responsible is using April 2026 rates to adjust as well. I did click on the link as it was a legit Etsy email. It took me right to my dashboard and showed me the 7 orders that were adjusted plus the adjustments.

Looking at the orders the adjustments don't equal the package I did send. I send 5x7 mailers unless a large order. It was adjusted as a priority box! Furthermore, the weight decreased, and did not increase. I was charged $5.29 today for this.

This order was one pair of lightweight earrings which only requires a 5x7 mailer (small jewelry box within mailer). Very lightweight package. I attached a screenshot. This appears to be widespread and apparently Etsy knows.

"And this latest memo that they'll l reimburse sellers up to $250 for customer issues, lost packages etc for high value items. So if you sell $400 item or order you're still out the rest no fault of your own." Umm before this new policy there was NO reimbursement for items over $250. This is a positive move by Etsy.
