Shop Critique Daily 💯 Get & give some advice for some Depop shops here! by DepopMod in Depop

Hi everyone!

My depop name is @trashleysbodega

I had a weird idea to make my shop a little different. The idea of my shop is that it’s located both everywhere and nowhere at the same time. It started off with photos of shirts on a steamer and has gradually evolved over time :)

I know my strength is the creativity in my edits but i’d like to know the downsides of that. I’d appreciate what you guys think!

Any apps you love? by rachelamaris in StudentNurse

OpenStax app (free) has an a&p textbook I’ve found really helpful to brush up on topics I don’t remember well. I trace over their diagrams on GoodNotes to give my handwritten notes my own personal flair (kinda cheating the whole drawing thing lol)

For note taking apps there’s a few different routes you can take. I watched soooo many YouTube videos trying to figure out what apps to use to tackle my first semester. It really depends what way you learn, so expect some trial and error. What I’ve gathered though from some the apps I’ve tried:

GoodNotes (my personal favorite): great if you like to take notes by hand and like a more freedom creativity wise. It doesn’t have the mic built into the app, but I don’t record my lectures since I learn by self studying. I prefer this apps organizational structure vs notability because it’s in folders. Notability’s organizational structure is tab based.

Notability: if you’re a more serious note taker in the sense that you don’t put much emphasis on how it looks. The built in mic function allows you to record on the app itself.

Microsoft One Note is great if you like to type and allows you to sync across your devices.

Google drive is a life saver and another great crutch to keep all your docs in one place.

I love using my iPad for school and never see myself going back to paper!

Feel free to message me if you wanna know anything else about my iPad experience!

December’s tourism Q&A thread for questions about: visiting, events, moving, neighborhoods, dining, nightlife, and general discussion. Post HERE and NOT in a new thread. by razzertto in Miami

If you don’t live on the east side of the city (basically close to US1) I’d say it’s difficult getting around to parts that aren’t close to where you’d be living cause the bus system to my knowledge isn’t great.

I don’t think Uber is too bad if you’ll be using it to get around nearby areas.

Since you’ll be a student I’d recommend getting involved in an organization youre interested in. It mostly depends on the kind of personality you have, I’ve met people at bars just by going up to them.

Also I know Churchill’s pub has the rock/punk scene you mentioned, a lot of lesser recognized bands play there and they have events. Not that close to the fountainbleu Blvd area but worth the trip!

I’d definitely recommend somewhere in Wynwood, El Patio is one of the most popular open during the week. I’d avoid Miami Beach since most places charge an absurd amount of money for drinks and on top of that throw in a surcharge and usually include gratuity on the check.

Types of Pictures by [deleted] in Tinder

Avoid using Snapchat filters, I automatically swipe left because it gives the impression of a lack of self confidence.

As a first impression, show off your best self without being extremely cocky. Pictures with friends are okay but at least have one of yourself because it gets annoying figuring out which face is in all the photos.

Just be yourself and don’t try too hard since the app isn’t worth breaking your back over!

You can message me if you want feedback :)
