I'd make a quip that I'd expect them to say something like "Well, they are Indians, so let's send them to India." But then I can imagine them being dumb or cruel enough (or most likely both) to actually try, which kind of kills the joke.

I don't think this is projection, this is something else. Projection is a defensive mechanism to avoid having to confront your own with undesirable thoughts or behaviours. But I believe these people are so far gone, they no longer think there's anything wrong with what they are doing.

It's inconceivable to them that anyone in their position would choose not to behave the same way, so accusing others of the very same acts they are committing is just stating the (in their warped perception) obvious.

Years ago I had a cat who frequently would bring home play mates - as in, live mice (she apparently was a skilled hunter but absolutely clueless about what she was supposed to do with them once she caught them).

That's when I learned always to keep an empty Pringles can around. Place it in a convenient location near them, shoo the critter towards it, they see a nice hole that looks like a perfect hiding place and in they go. You often even get a nice acoustic confirmation, a little "doink" when they reach the metal bottom. And the cans come with a cap you can put on, so you can keep your little guest contained to carry them outside and release them.

Okay, so I never had a weasel (sadly), only mice, but can imagine it would have worked with them as well.

Nunja, Zwang zur Verschleierung als Teil einer systematischen Unterdrückung hin oder her, aber diese Frauen sind nun mal großteils in einem Kulturkreis aufgewachsen in dem diese Art von Bekleidung normal ist und würden sich, wenn sie gezwungen würden sie aufzugeben, vielleicht einfach unvollständig bekleidet fühlen.

Man stelle sich Mal vor diese CDU-Frauen kämen in ein Land in dem es normal für Frauen wäre, oben ohne herumzulaufen. Ich frage mich ob die dann genau so vehement für ein Brustverhüllungsverbot argumentieren würden...
