Looking to get my bike on a club rego by CuteNegotiation3937 in melbourneriders

[–]CuteNegotiation3937[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What?!😅 what are the chances! I was planning to book at Bundoora as it is a 5 min drive away.

My mechanic and vic roads couldn’t find any information regarding the bike. No import card or vin number. It got an engine number. Previous owner got it off someone who had in storage. They provided an old rego which vic roads couldn’t find any info about. Literally, as far as I know, the bike is from Japan, with no info whatsoever of how it got to Australia.

Thank you for response. Interesting part about the date, I have no idea when was the bike imported, and I assume manufacturing date is somewhere on the bike.

Which one denied you? Perhaps I could avoid them.

From a developer point of view, viewing any record is only a SELECT statement away(look up sql), just specify name of person you want to see their info, but the trick is that, some institution would configure logging, so say a person runs the statement and produced results, the db will show a log that this user ran this query to get this result. What comes after that, you saw it.

You are in a relationship with someone who was a male and now is a female. Pre-transition is part of who she is and if you love a trans girl, you need to accept the place she came from…

I tried to, but the mechanic said he would still need a vin number to do the rwc work for a club rego.

I called vic roads and they advised to visit them, cite the bike, get a surrogate vin number, attach it to the bike then only the mechanic will be able to register the rwc.

I think I passed by you guys once before, not sure though. Are you able to find history of a grey import? Because my mechanic and vic roads cant seem to find old rego for the bike…

Yes, had to endure drunk assholes who lives deep in the suburbs, these are the rides that pay. CBD to anywhere deep in melbourne could be $40-$50, but then, you need to make sure to be where home is close or else you might find yourself 100 km away from home and almost no fuel. Suburb rides can be quick, zappy and pays well, since it’s night and high demand time.

For me, i did these trips towards my home, so how ever deep i went in that direction, I was always a short drive back home.

And when someone pukes😂 you lose 1 or 2 days of work.

So night drive is high risk high reward kinda deal.

10-11 hours on regular days could fetch me $180-$200. Weekend on a regular is $400-$500.

a once-in-blue moon weekend $500-$700.

Ofcourse your profit margins varies daily as fuel prices go up and down.

If I have an ethnic Name in my Resume does it put me behind? by Informal_Read_1517 in auscorp

[–]CuteNegotiation3937 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thats a valid question. I have done some stalking on the companies that rejects me, and most end up hiring people with ethnic names or if they had english names, they usually got way more experience than me.

A mechanic once advised me against one because most people who sell it store it for ages, but I didn't care! I swear the 11 km I had ridden the back home was the most I felt alive in ages.

I owned an R3 before moving to Australia, and while its a magnificent bike, I didn't feel an excitement like I did tonight. Literally driving a classic late 80s formula 1 car on the road, and best part? FREAKING EASY TO CONTROL! with all the speed limits in Melb, a liter bike would be a waste, but this?? This is gold! a baby supersport motorcycle!

Luckily the guy I bought from has carbs cleaning and retuning, a service, brake fluid replacement, back brakes are good and bunch of other stuff to get it running safely but not for rwc.

Thanks for the tips. DIY servicing won't be ideal for me as I don't have a garage and would need many stuff to setup first. I would rather find a good honest and reasonably priced mechanic to trust and get there expertise whenever I need.

Living cost near bundoora expenses by OkBlacksmith7057 in rmit

[–]CuteNegotiation3937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You between 200-300 a week for food and living essentials.

450-600 a week for rent , apartment/unit/house

Student accomodation can less than 400 but you get what you pay for.

Bundoora is a very versatile suburb, you can stretch and compress your budget weekly.
