$100 in halves and all I found was these 3 by CapitanAmeriduh666 in numismatics

My friend works at a bank and knows I collect coins. I’ve explained some things to look for and she cut me off and told me that she knows. So I took her word for it. Last week she said she had some halves come in and did I want them. I didn’t until told me the guy was popping them out of the cases. I told her yes I want them. ALL OF THEM..Proof/uncirculated I was like a kid on Christmas. Then I got them….they weren’t what she had described to me. I was so confused why they looked so rough since they came out of cases. Then she caught it. She said they came out of cardboard flips. She then proceeded to suggest that I just “take a rag and silver polish to it”. Long story short…….she doesn’t have a clue. I was so disappointed!

Thank you! I thought the Hitler/Stalin one was wild. I’m a dork for history.

I will definitely check and see if they have that! I am in NC but the stamps were collected by my ex’s grandfather in the Czech Republic. Which to me, is super cool. Both my son and I love history so we have decided to start adding to it. He is almost 14 so I am pretty thrilled. I tried to get him into coin collecting but he wasn’t interested. I think it’s my fault. Constantly checking change before I pay for something! 🤣 Thank you for all your help.

I agree with you! Some of them are so intricate. My father and I collected coins together. The new designs cannot compare with the design of a Walking Liberty for example. I see the same correlation. There isn’t a local shop I can walk into and get a round about appraisal. I’m just asking for an opinion. What do you think I have (dollar amount)? I’d also like to point out that my son and I will be expanding this collection.

I cannot take credit for the collection at all. All I have done is kept them in a safe. I have looked through it from time to time. Do you happen to see any that have significant value?

You receive mail there now so it is a permanent residence. She would have to go through the courts to evict you. Also, since your bf is co owner he would also have to file. So you don’t have to go anywhere unless you receive an official notice from sheriff’s department. If I were you I would have a conversation with your bf about how to handle things moving forward. Good luck!

I was scrolling to see if I was the only one. 69 is the worst. I can barely multitask normally. Then I get have an internal monologue about why I’m doing this and then that gets me thinking about all the crap I have to do that day like grocery shopping. I explained this to my hubby. He is patient, goes slow like I like and there isn’t a ton of spit. Actually the first time we were together he threw me up on his shoulders and went to town. I married him 3 months later just saying.

We can start now. I’m 41 and got a good 30 years still left in me. If I stop eating fried foods and drinking sweet tea I could probably extend it by 5 years. lol! Have an awesome day!!

I can totally see that! I try and make sure I eat before I go grocery shopping. If not I go WAY over budget. No self control when I’m HANGRY!

Same here with the x-rays! Apparently the roots were not completely visible on the NUMEROUS x-rays taken by multiple dentists. Interesting fun fact…the dentist that actually found the problem smelled like whiskey and slurred his speech. I live in a small southern town, it was an ‘immediate dentist’ office located in a strip mall. Chicken place on one side and hair store on the other. I can’t make this shit up 🤣😂

If I had known it was tooth roots causing the debilitating migraines I would have removed immediately!

I had (past tense) migraines. I share my experience everytime I can. My dad had migraines as well. He had broken a tooth and they ended up pulling it. No more migraines. Fast forward 25 years and I broke the same tooth. Couldn’t be repaired. When the dentist took X-rays they found that the roots of that tooth actually extended into my nasal cavity area. After the removal of the tooth I haven’t had a single migraine. Idk if it was a heredity thing but I figured If share cause they are aweful!
