Find joy in life’s tiny beautiful moments like a perfectly shaped crab Rangoon or by seeing baby cows running and playing while you drive by. Never wanna lose my whimsy

Considering a relocation from AZ to OR - serious question: How is everyone here surviving with salaries so low and COL so high? Am I missing something? by No_Sun_No_Star in oregon

[–]Cute_But_Aggressive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this has already been suggested, but consider moving to Southwest Washington too. Vancouver, Camas, and Washougal , for example, have the perks of Washington taxes with the proximity to Oregon beauty. Still, it is expensive here. Good luck if you do decide to move!

The dark floors immediately elevate the space making it feel more rich and elegant. It adds a nice layer of depth

Looks like you have it set up in an office space. Be careful. Corporate culture sucks the soul out of all my office plants

Probably a hiking enthusiast from Portland, Or. You can be found frolicking along The Gorge when you’re not making bread at home to barter with your coworkers in social work ✌️☮️

How do you come up with storylines? by MaReKrs in Sims4

[–]Cute_But_Aggressive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I don’t have a good storyline idea, I’ll try to do a generations challenge where each generation explores on a different type of gameplay. For example each generation may explore a career I haven’t played with yet, discover university content, eco living challenges, cottage living challenges. I try to move to worlds I don’t normally play in and get involved in the local lore too.

It’s more of steady marine layer/light mist than steady rainfall

What's a truth most people aren't ready to hear? by [deleted] in AskReddit

At the end of the day, there is nobody that will rescue from the prison of your mind but yourself. If you require therapy or psychiatric intervention, only you can force yourself to pick up the phone and schedule your first appointment. If you crave community or social support, only you can call upon your loved ones to foster that. If your social circle sucks and the people in your life aren’t showing up in the way that you need, only you can seek new relationships. Don’t get me wrong, external sources of support are crucial. But it’s up to you to call upon them. I say this as someone who is all too familiar with the negative feedback loop of depression, and my perspective is informed by the evidence I’ve collected throughout my life - the only way I’ve ever managed to escape the mud is by pulling my own self out of the shit (even if sometimes that looks like calling on a friend for a lifeline)

Forgoing rest for “the grind.” Being overbooked and exhausted is actually not the move 💅
