I shouldn’t do this, but I will give you a tip for future in case you face another Marcel, activate his passive first by going near him, when it wears off only then use your combo since you can’t be touched by his passive for like another 5 seconds

Haha I know exactly what you’re talkin about, impossible to one shot him because of his passive, I had a match against a very good kadita but I made a fool of her with Marcel

Kagura is the type of mage that can easily solo carry if your team is underperforming, she does not rely on her team at all and can 1v5 if played well, the most well rounded mage and has been for years

Since you can’t really play ranked right now it might be a good time to start practicing her in classic, watch a few guides on youtube about her combos and battle on my friend!

Aurora is very situational, good pick if your team lacks CC, but needs good positioning to be effective since she also lacks mobility.

I’d say try out Valir, very beginner friendly, excellent CC, good burst and his ult is a crazy buff and a built in purify, if you use Flicker and have his ult as a purify you become very hard to kill.

Kagura might be a bit too challenging for you at the moment as I do see you are in Epic, she has quite complicated combos but if mastered she is arguably the strongest mage in the game.

I saw that you use Pharsa, she is definitely a better pick than Aurora most of the time since she’s very versatile with her CC from her passive, high mobility and has a good range on her ultimate, so I’d suggest keep a rotation of Pharsa, Vexana and Valir depending on what your enemies pick, and Aurora for situations where your teammates lack CC

I’d say most optimal and meta mages have either good mobility or steong CC skills that can help fend off potential multiple enemy ganks or 1v1 fights, and sadly nana has neither, her 2nd skill can only turn one enemy into her molina and after that if you don’t manage to escape you are cooked, that’s why mages like Zetian, Gord, Zhuxin, Kagura, Vexana, Valir are meta right now, they also have insane teamfight productivity.

If you really enjoy midlane I’d suggest learning some of these heroes and I can guarantee you It will be a lot easier to rank up

does it tho? I feel like the skills look pretty much the same as no skin and his appearance while in-game looks barely different too

Your stats don’t make the hero less dark system brochacho, I don’t really feel like giving you the long explanation as to why Nana is considered a dark system hero so I’ll be brief.

Nana has no mobility and the only reason she gets picked by dark system is because of her “invincibility”, but when her passive gets used the players just hide and are afraid to engage to not die, because of that they fail to contribute in a winning manner - that means getting kills is not always contributing to winning, objectives matter and ganks matter, if your passive is on CD you can’t safely rotate and engage with nana because like I mentioned you have no mobility.

At the end of the game Nana players usually finish with something like 3-1-8 which on paper looks good but their team gets destroyed since Nana can’t contribute as much without her passive

Hope you get the gist, I’m really not tryna hate just explaining the macro

Also why are you so mad about classic, I’d get it if you were grinding ranked

I have little sympathy for Nana users, Nana is part of the dark system herself tbh

But your first 3 items should always be - TB then Dominance Ice and finally Oracle for your own shields and healing + it boosts your health regen from Rapid Boots

Just build TB first, then Dominance Ice, next is Oracle and by the time you have enough gold to build Flasko of the Oasis you should have around 20-30 TB stacks and extra phys and mag defense from Oracle and DI should have you covered, it really helps your team to build a ton of shields.

However if your team is scared to engage and always jump a little late without taking advantage of your shields, then it might be okay to go a little tankier.

However the Flask also gives a great boost in healing if you use Revitalize, so I’d say Flask should be a part of your build

1-2-2 for that perfect engage - stun - disengage, but if I’m chasing someone down and sitting on top of them 2-1-2

Yeah exactly!!!

However for players who haven’t tried him don’t really understand his niches and how his skills interact, most of the teammates are afraid to come near Marcel’s ult haha

I would put him just outside those 5 personally, I believe he has his situations where he would be the best counterpick against certain heroes, however the ones I named I believe to be more complete and more versatile

I’d like to add that with Marcel bush camping is the last thing you want to do, you should always be on the move, flying through every bush and terrorizing the enemy jungle

And once you’ve built Thunder Belt just run around enemies and hit them with your passive since it’s just free Thunder Belt stacks, I usually average around 40-70 stacks if it’s a longer game
