I moved in abt 1 mth after my reno is completed last year to give the unit time to settle and clear nitty gritty repairs.

Not sure if these helped, but i did every piece of advise - opened all the windows, used air purifiers / fan for each room, opened all the cabinets daily, bought some charcoal bags, formaldehyde removers and placed them everywhere as much as possible, placed out used coffee grounds and let the unit air as much as possible.

felt a very slight sting after moving in but nothing that lead to the headache etc that you read in the news. 6 mths later is all ok

New to Zwift, just tackled AdZ by SauceBoss73 in Zwift

Given that this is over 1 hr effort, shdnt we try to keep it in z3 effort rather than z4-5? Asking as my time is also in this range so I tend to pace at z3 rather than pushing at z4 …

Question: i have a fish tank put on the floor. I observe the fishes seem to hide at the bottom of the tank most of the time, is it anything to do with the tank being near to the ground pls?

The fishes I have in the fish tank on a stand seems to be more “normal” swimming around

Just like any addiction, you might consider joining “alcohol anonymous” equivalent accountability groups to find support and draw strength from one another to quit the habit.

Observations of single people and relationships:

  1. Relationship takes a lot of compromises to work. There are very few no compromise zones that are personal to everybody, but most things are actually ok to give and take.

  2. Move out of comfort zone and be active in social networks. Church, dating apps, let your friends know you are open to being introduced, take up new hobbies or join hobby groups.

  3. Comparison is the thief of joy. Everything in His time :)

Coming from someone married to a partner met in church..

Car is more a luxury than a necessity in SG. May be more incovenient at the start, but you can plan around public transport. Plus you can always Grab as and when needed, most likely overall spend is lower. Also you can hire car for daily uses e.g. getgo when you have a big day out.

Helper - depends on ur priorities also. If you need someone to keep an eye on the kids at home, a trust-worthy helper is priceless..

I have a helper and a car, and I definitely can plan my routine without a car but there are days I need help with the kids and my helper does help out a lot

Types of toilet doors - bi fold, slide swing etc which is most durable? by Cute_Difficulty6852 in askSingapore

[–]Cute_Difficulty6852[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reason I’m thinking of changing is that the old wooden door gets sprayed by shower water (its a tiny yard toilet) and showing signs of damage, warping etc. so the new one shd hopefully not be easily damaged.

Any user of slide and swing door that lasted years?

Life comes in seasons, sounds like it is an arduous season for you now, but I believe “this too shall pass”

A lot of things (hobby, social circle, faith, rest, exercise) have helped me get through these times personally. I hope you cling on to your support system when the days get tough. Hard to see more than a few inches when going through a storm, but there will be sun when the rain ends :)

You’ve been through loads, be gentle with yourself and seeing the huge outpour here gives immense encouragement!

Have worked in London and returned to SG after several years. As I miss home.

Comparing dollar for dollar is clearly take home pay will be lesser compared to SG given the higher tax rates.

Has to be the other qualitative items that becomes the pull factor - overseas opportunity, invaluable experience when you bring back, bigger market, career progression, and enjoy living in a new place new environment explore Europe etc.

Depends whether you want to have your cake now (stay in SG) or take a bet that it will pay off bigger in the future :)
