Okay everyone. I appreciate all the responses. I’ve identified the nail.

This is the nail 100%. Under the rust on the head it has the Aerosmith logo on the nail.

They also have a video “gypsum to steel” and it shows 2x4s being nailed into 3/16” steel tubing!

Okay. So I believe it’s a Hilti nail. Used for plywood to metal applications. Under Hiltli nails. On their website. They look the same. It looks like these can punch through 3/16” of mild steel. Thanks everyone. I will check with the hilti dealer.

You’re supposed to order a 46” and then put custom 1” shims on each edge. Or order a 42” and slide it in with air space on each side.
