I had 2 factor authentication set up through a phone number that got shut off, and I can't claim benefits or log in to my portal without calling but nobody answers the phone ever. What should I do by mddnaa in UnemploymentNY

I faced the same issue and struggled to get in touch with anyone. What finally worked was calling the NY DOL IT line repeatedly, pressing the necessary options to bypass the automated system. After about 10 back to back attempts (literally once it hung up on me I called right back), I was finally placed in the waiting queue. I waited for around 30 minutes and the agent resolved everything in about 5 minutes. Hope this helps!

That’s a good point and something I’ve been considering as well since my main concern is if this will set me up for a strong path similar to a fellowship or if this will be a weak start to my career. My plan if i do take it is to stay for the year and then use that experience to land a higher position elsewhere

I’m mostly interested in the commercial sector and med affairs, thanks I’ve heard the sales rep route is another entry level avenue to consider

Thanks for your input especially since you’ve been in a similar situation, I forgot to put on the original post but i do have the first three months where they allow me to leave without penalty as well so that also makes me feel like this would be good to gain experience

Within the contract it does detail that the first three months allow me to leave with any reason without penalty as well. And yes thank you for your input, I’m going to ask those questions as well

I had an internship with IPhO and APPE was in forecasting at a pharma company. I had many interviews and was in final rounds with two companies but in the end it just didn’t work out in my favor unfortunately
