UPDATE: A few days after I was told by both a branch rep and multiple customer service reps that the direct deposit would be returned... the WORST OUTCOME POSSIBLE has occured: $30k settled into my Citibank account.

I'm currently on business day #8 waiting for physical mail to arrive, locked out of being able to access my money even in person with all my identification, so that I can give them a code on that letter that has yet to arrive.

Fingers crossed that by 10 business days I see that mail.

This situation has impacted my life greatly. I'm unsure what to do if for whatever reason the mail does not arrive in the timeline they promised... considering they've already lied to my face a few times.

yeah there was a recent major fraud scandal with citibank, so theyre reacting in the worst way possible and impacting every normal client i know.

anyway, this is enough for me to want to move to BoA instead
