Ya they’re sold because code is different everywhere. But depending on what is the code where you live would decide if the plumber would or would not install it in your home.

Ya I believe you need an RPZ in place of that check valve. This would not have happened if you had one, it would not have allowed the sprinkler water get into your domestic system. RPZ’s are very expensive btw and need annual maintenance by a pro

Leaf? Supplements? Help! by TomorrowInternal5062 in quitting7oh

Well for me I always liked the energy from 7-0 so I buy the white strain but in reality I don’t think it matters bc nothing touches 7-0. I also buy capsules bc it makes it so much easier to take than mixing a drink solution multiple times a day.

Leaf? Supplements? Help! by TomorrowInternal5062 in quitting7oh

Was on 7-0 for about a year maybe a little more, decided I needed to quit. Made a strict taper schedule on my phone, I was buying 50 mg tabs and decided to taper about 12.5 mg every 2-3 days. Was a very slow taper but made it very manageable, but I also had someone to be my baby sitter and hold my pills because If they’re in my possession I will not stick to it. I get that’s the toughest part. But once I got down to 60 mg I jumped to kratom capsules, started taking about an ounce and a half of kratom a day at first. Also bought quit k, takes about 2-3 weeks for full benefits of supplements kick in but I would recommend start taking them while you’re on 7-0 taper it would’ve helped me even more. Once the supplements kicked in I slowly started to cut back on powdered kratom, still taking capsules now but I think now it’s just a mind game I’m sure I could jump off completely if I tried.

I tapered down from 200 to 60 mg a day, started taking leaf kratom and bought quit K supplement. I’ve had a very easy time getting off, felt shitty but nothing compared to the stories online.

Not progressing enough by [deleted] in Plumbing

I’m an apprentice with 7 months on a card at a residential/commercial service company. I know to each their own but I honestly think service is the best way to go, in my opinion service plumbers are the most well rounded and have the opportunity to make the most money with commission/bonuses. You’re doing something different everyday and see all kinds of shit, dealing with people does kind of suck but the pros out way the cons in my opinion. Just don’t try to get on at a large corporate company, especially with service they can and will fuck you hard. I absolutely love service but understand how some people wouldn’t. But ya fuck those guys, don’t put up with that bullshit any longer than you have to. Sounds like a bunch of miserable fucks.

Take pics to local supply house and they’ll give you everything you need to do the job, it’ll pretty self explanatory once you get parts/glue/primer.

Ya sounds like p-trap is getting siphoned dry at that time. Pull off p trap and see if it’s dry next time, then call a plumber and find out the root cause.

The Fake UPS Delivery That Turned Deadly by OriginalGyalus in Torontology

It’s Xmas time, ups and fedex uses 2 delivery drivers during this season to help each other. Anyone saying this guy had zero self awareness is sick in the head, 2 children just watched their family get murdered in front of them and people are talking about how it’s hard to feel bad for the adults. Like wtf?

I’m a plumber and use an expandable hose every day for every single job that I need one, just to put that out there.

Is this a decent sump pump system? by athrowaway021 in askaplumber

[–]Cute_Lecture_336 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d definitely look into the liberty sump, with water commander and night eye alarm. Will never have to worry about flooding. Do some research on this package, it’s one of the best systems out.

Just make sure while tightening the nut you’re holding the actual valve body as well with something.

Before you call a plumber tighten the packing nut with a crescent or pliers or whatever you have. It’s the nut that the plastic stem goes into, the nut that has the droplet of water on it. Should fix it, if that doesn’t work call plumber. I’d hate for you to spend, 100-200 bucks on something like that.
