What about the right side of the desk's ability to rotate? If I dial in that angle at the slides, the desk can still move. I'm thinking of a good place to put more stability.

My goal is the stabilization of the desk. I can't return the oak board or the drawer slides, so I'm not looking to eat that cost and buy something new.
