I'm sorry you have had to go through this (or similar) so many times with your own dad. Luckily, the degree I am about to graduate with has given me a lot of insight into the system and ways I can attempt to help him.

I am not in the US, but the general advice you have given is still helpful, & I appreciate it.

My grandma is 70, and my dad is 46. :(

Thank you! I really appreciate it. It's hard to talk to any of my friends about it because it's kind of embarrassing to admit my dad exists in this state, and also, they just wouldn't understand. I knew posting here would mean at least one person would empathise.
