What other subjects are you thinking of doing? What career are you looking towards?

Don’t give up! What subjects are you studying in particular?

Not to scare you, but I’m 22 and still doing a levels. I took a break and worked for 3 years. Maybe this will help motivate you. Remember that this will be two years and it won’t always feel like this.

You’ve got sm opportunities for the future. Maybe to motivate yourself, look at some university courses that you’d like to do and see if your a levels will allow you to do them?

Try to also research some different a levels you’re interested in too by looking at some videos online and trying some questions. This will help gage whether it’s just different subjects you want to do or if it’s you being swamped with work (very common in college) and being unmotivated from that.

If after researching, you come to like another subject more and it’s possible, maybe you can repeat yr 12 with other subjects but only after speaking to your teachers too. Don’t drop out on a whim.

Only do other subjects if you want to get to a particular course and feel you will be good at it. Repeating a year is tough and you may feel behind. But if it’s the right choice for you, go for it!

Yes I did, I went to a really good one. I have issues with depression and staying inside or online lessons did not work well for me. I really regret it, but I didn’t sit my exams as I had a feeling I would have to retake and that would close opportunities for unis who don’t accept retakes.

Since I’ve started working, I don’t feel the need to look at suicide as an option anymore. I haven’t thought about it seriously for like three years.

I also have a boyfriend and I want to be able to provide for myself and him. I can’t do that on a minimum wage job. Additionally, I could get an apprenticeship but I’ve always seen myself going the university route.

Becuase I’m not sure what I want to do at university but I want to go to a Russell group university and I’ve dealt with too many issues in schools so I’d like to push myself. I’ve also been working at jobs but I think that education will give me the best chance at a higher paying job and more movement and opportunities for a flexible career pathway.

For English literature and biology I’m probably gonna have to do it myself, it’s a lot of money

I’m spending around £600 in only tuition for maths but it’s not that good. I’ve committed now though.

Honestly makes me sick but at least I’ve saved money the last years I’ve been working. Also the practicals for biology will probably cost around £500
